Chapter XIII: When she gets sick.
"The sky is so beautiful today, don't you agree?"
A beautiful lady was staring in the sky that has a lot of stars blinking gently. Her expression is out of the ordinary.
"My Lady. Are you still perhaps waiting for the King? His royal knight has told me he will visit the garden of the high magus tonight."
The servant of the girl stated as of the Lady, she just politely smiled. Though she can be seen smiling, there was hidden distress inside. She is the fated Queen of the kingdom, fiance of the King and yet she is being neglected by him.
The Lady was chosen by the Dowager Queen herself as for the King, he doesn't hold any feelings for her.
"But it's already late. We're supposed to meet here." She sighed.
"My Lady…"

Syaoran, the Raksha who helped Alice before. He was with the King and Liam, tracking down the remaining members of the black circus that they raided.
However, Syaoran suddenly felt sick. Stumbling down to the ground, the King quickly mend him.
"Syaoran! What's wrong?!"
Sickly Syaoran is chasing his breathing, he starts to sweat, and yet he is cold as ice. For a Raksha that has an abnormality, this sickness is rather dangerous.
"...Syaoran!" Liam chorused, he also started to worry about him.
"T-that girl…" the young man muttered faintly, unable to speak clearly.
"Girl? W-who's girl?! What do you mean⸺" The King turned his attention to Liam, "Call the royal carriage. We'll bring the Raksha in convalescence." he ordered.
Liam immediately followed the instruction of the King. They brought Syaoran to the King's convalescence, they also summoned a royal physician to tend the sick Raksha.
Few hours passed. The royal physician told the King that Raksha is suffering from an unknown illness.
"Pardon me, your Majesty. However, I couldn't define what caused his illness. Although I gave him medicine, it doesn't seem to be working. Even the healers can't do anything about it."
The King was surprised by what he just heard.
"What? That can't be right. There is no illness that can't be cured. Aren't you just lacking, right now? Are you telling me that you can't do anything about it?"
As the King suddenly glared at the Physician, the poor innocent one just kneeled down and started begging to spare his life.
"Please forgive me, your Majesty! I don't have enough knowledge about the illness that makes him suffer. However, as if the illness wasn't from him. I keep hearing his mumbles about a girl. He said that he needs to look for her."
The King gazed at the physician suspiciously, "A girl?" the physician quickly nodded while diverting the topic.
"Your Majesty, I think he was right. Before he passed out, he said the same thing to us. Does that mean his sickness has something to do with a girl?" Liam chimed into the conversation.
The King started to think about it. Looking at the quiet surrounding, trying to think of a better idea to cure the Raksha.
"For the meantime, let's head back inside. Liam, start summoning the healer or even priest in the local town. We mustn't let the Raksha suffer even more."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
However, from the moment they head back inside the King's convalescence. The Raksha isn't there anymore.
"Your Majesty!" Everyone was alarmed of his sudden disappearance, "Find the Raksha immediately!"

*Xinyi Household
On the other side, Alice is also suffering from the same tragedy. Although, she isn't cold like Raksha...she is rather burning like having a very high fever.
"What? All the healers in the capital have been summoned?! By whom!?" Kai Xinyi, who is currently in charge of the Xinyi household is in panic.
He ordered the butler to find a healer immediately right after Alice started heating up. But the butler wasn't able to find one.
"I'm sorry, Young Master. But the healers, doctors, or even the priest is out of the capital all of the sudden."
The butler explained the situation in the capital. Though, that is a great loss for Kai Xinyi. Alice is currently unconscious because of the poisonous bite of an unknown species.
"We can't just let Ms. Alice suffers! After all the help we got from her there is no way I'm gonna let her suffer!" Kai sounded frustrated with the current situation.
He then decided to walk inside Alice's room only to find out that the door is locked for some unspecified reason.
"Huh? Who locked the door from inside? Ms. Alice? Ms. Alice, please open the door!"
Kai started knocking on the door, though he didn't hear any response from inside. He ordered the butler to get the master key of the room.
On the other side of the door.
Alice regains consciousness, though she is weak and her eyes are blurry. She saw someone inside standing right beside her.
"What happened…? I thought you are already safe and yet you got into trouble again. You really loved getting involved in so much trouble, aren't you?"
The young girl started blinking her eyes, gulping as she answered the question of the man beside her.
"I got bitten...by… something… and… now, I ...feel like… I'm going… to die…"
She said weakly. The man deeply sighed from what he heard as the girl recognized the man in no time.
"Syaoran… A, are you… suffering… because.. Of me? You… are ...free to cut… your ...ties from… me…" she drawled, her eyes began tearing because she knew that she won't be able to do anything for herself.
"But if.. If I do that, you will die." Syaoran sounded almost sympathetic to the girl but the girl only gave him a reassuring smile.
"You don't have… to worry... About that... I'm sure that… even if I… die… no memories… from each other… will go .. remain.."
As if she is already trying to say her goodbyes to the man who tried to help her. Syaoran only closed his eyes and deeply sighed for the things he didn't want to hear.
"I don't like humans. I don't like getting meddled with their problems. But you've already crossed that line so, there is no going back. I want to know a lot about you."
Syaoran surprisingly bent down as he passionately kissed Alice who was rather deeply shocked by what he just did to her.
"....⸺?!" she wasn't able to move because of the sudden pinning of Syaoran to her. A mark on her right wrist started to draw.
It was a beautiful star and the moon curved in shadowy color. It was like a bracelet for her.
Alice glowed in golden purifying light. What Syaoran just did is now permanently formed a contract with the Princess of Wonderland, however, he wasn't informed that Alice also formed a contract with the witch cat which goes by the name Cheshire.
But thanks to the formed contract, Alice got rid of the illness immediately. After Syaoran formed the contract with the girl, he then said.
"Your mana is leaking because of the curse, you are getting drained."
But the girl is in deep thought, unable to answer him. She was just glancing at him until the door unlocked from outside.
"W...who, who are you?" Kai was very surprised by what he saw but Syaoran is just looking at him dully.
"...What in the world just happened?"
