After deliberating over the best offer and the company whose values Justin respected the most, he sold his laundry machine—right after gifting the prototypes to the women in his life. Emily already knew about it but his mom and aunt were thrilled. Especially his aunt. With three kids at home she went through a lot of laundry each week.

The patent sold for $4.5 million to one of Justin's long-time clients whose wife was amazed by the sample machine he sent out. He gave the money to his day trader and came back with five times as much in less than a month.

He checked his accounts and was vaguely surprised at how much was in there. $55 million was more than he expected. Yet he hardly spent a cent. Anyone looking at his lifestyle would think he was an average twenty-something guy who ate too much takeout.

To celebrate his sale, he took Alexa and Zack to lunch while Emily was on set one day. Alexa looked smug about something so Justin called her out on it.
