A few weeks later, Justin sat boredly through Sam's high school graduation. They really needed to figure out how to make these things more exciting for the attendees. In his lifetime he had only attended two graduations that weren't his own and it was two too many.

Emily didn't come because she was stuck on set and Justin missed her terribly. She would have found a way to make this more interesting by whispering commentary to him the entire time.

Even his cousins didn't help alleviate his boredom—they spent the entire ceremony on their phones. Lily even played Sink or Swim: Titanic for a solid thirty minutes before switching to something else when she got stuck.

After the celebrations commenced he pulled Sam aside. He had wanted to bring up an idea of his for a while but wasn't sure how to go about it without seeming crazy.

"What's with the serious face? I'm graduated, you should be happy! I'm moving across country and getting out of your hair."
