Part 1: Her Death. Chapter 1

Amos stood outside his house staring up at the cloudy sky.

The september air was colder than usual, probably because they were preparing to step into the October month in a few days.

He stared at the beautiful red flowers that were slowly losing their beauty due to the coming cold.

Amos could still remember how he use to chase Jenny around that same tree when ever she annoyed him. He remembered them laughing like two children and collapsing on the green grass. He still remembered how he would climb up the tree and bring down a beautiful flower and he would give it to her. She would smile, hug him and whisper the words 'you'll always be my best friend Amos'.

Amos loved hearing those words and at the same time, it made his heart ache. He always wondered if Jen would ever come to love him more than just a friend because the love he has for her was strong. Amos would do anything for Jenny and all she had to do was ask.

When Jenny started dating Lucas, Amos was heartbroken for days. He couldn't breath, couldn't eat and couldn't even think properly. He wished he was in his friends shoes because he loved Jenny so much. He wanted to fight for her but he knew she was better off with Lucas. She was so happy when she is with him.

But then Lucas betrayed her trust, cheated on her with Deliliah which lead to Jenny committing suicide. Amos was certain that he would never forgive Lucas for that, Never!

Tiny drops of rain began to make their presence known and Amos groaned in annoyance. His friends were suppose to pick him up but it has been two hours and they were no where to be found.

He thought about going back into his house but he noticed George's black SUV driving in his direction and he decided to wait despite his knitted pullover already soaking from the rain.

The car stopped right in front of him and Amos immedietly got into the passenger seat, shielding himself from the rain "what took you guys so long?" He snap at George who was giving him an apologetic look.

"Sorry Amos, Larissa made us stop for ice cream on our way here"

Larissa a pale skin brunette who sat at the back seat glared angrily at George through the rear view mirror "don't dump the blame on me George, you also wanted ice cream"

He grinned "well its easier to put the blame on you"

"Asshole" Larissa said as she slapped his shoulder to which he laughed joyously.

Amos rolled his eyes at them. They have always been that way, playful and happy. Amos wondered if they secretely like each other but he didn't really care if they did. "Can we go already, we'll be late!" He snap at them and they immediately stopped their playful banter.

"Sorry" George apologize and started the car before driving off.

Half way through the drive, George broke the silence "Amos, I know you'll get angry for what I'm about to say but I think you should know"

Amos stared at George with interest and even Larissa tense up at the back. It was obvious that she knew what George was about to say.

"Go on." Amos urged him when he remain silent.

George took in a deep breath and decided to just tell Amos when he wants to say "I invited Lucas"

"What!!!" Amos yelled in anger. Why the hell did George invite Lucas to their party? George knew he fucking hated Lucas.

"Calm down Amos" George spoke trying to ease his anger.

"What the fuck do you mean by calm down. You fucking invited Lucas to our party George. You know how much I fucking hate him"

"He deserves to be there. He's our friend and he's Jen's boyfriend to"George protested.

Amos face was getting red with anger "first of all, he's not my friend, secondly he is the reason why Jenny died. If only he had stayed faithful to her, if only he had lived her sincerely Jenny would not have killed herself. I will never forgive him for that"

George eyes were sad as well as Larissa's. She was listening to their conversation but chooses not to join in.She loved Jenny like a sister and was angry at what Luscas did to her, but she knew Jenny would never want them to hate Lucas for it. Jenny was the kindest soul that has ever graze the face of the earth.

"You should learn to forgive Amos" George said to his friend "Lucas is suffering too. You have no idea how much he had to go through because of Jenny's death. He blames himself for it and the guilt is killing him slowly. If we are not there for him we might lose another friend"

"George is right Amos" Larissa agreed "we can't keep hating him forever. He's still our friend and Jenny won't want us to treat him like an outcast"

Amos knew they were right because Jenny had a heart of gold. It was that same trait that made him fall madly in love with her. If Jenny was here, she would convince him to forgive Lucas.

But thats the thing, Jenny isn't here and she will never come back to him. For that reason Amos can never forgive Lucas.
