Hoping around

The next day i woke up and got ready for work. Walking out, i met Kelly.

"Hey girl" she said giving me a hug and i hugged her back smiling.

"You look cheerier today" I remarked and she nodded.

"Nothing too much. Just got a call from my grandma and she's fairing fine" she said with a wide smile and we strolled up.

"How's your night" she asked and i said it was fine then i inquired about hers. She told the story of her cat and we laughed really hard. We were getting along really well and i liked it.

We soon got to the cafe and were welcomed by all the others we got dressed and went to the counter.

Kelly said it was going to be boring and believe me when i say it was actually super boring. We could only note stuffs down, watch people get their orders, watch people pay, watch some bad souls complain about their orders and watch those seated being served.

"Told you it'll be boring" Kelly said chuckling as went for our break.

"Didn't believe it will be this boring, how do you survive?" I answered back as Andrew brought some burgers to us.

"It's easy when the line isn't full, i always have some chats with the costumers. Or i listen to music, though i can't make it as loud as i like." she said and i just thought of it.

I took a bite in the burger and stopped to stare at it. It was the most delicious burger i had ever eaten in my two lives.

"Whoa, who made this? It's so nice" I said eating more of it and they just laughed.

"It's Acer, 'le roi des burgers' the king of burgers, "Andrew said saying the rest of the statement like he realized i wouldn't know french, but i learned a large variety of languages in my past life to be able to fit in with Clark's friends and entourage.

"I get french it's OK" i reassured him and he laughed nervously "that's great then,"

"I really need to send my own order to him" I said and we all laughed.

"So, how long have you guys been together?" I asked looking between the two of them and they exclaimed in surprise.

"US?????"They said together

"Yes" I said

"No, i'm not dating him" Kelly said

"and am not dating her" Andrew said.

"Well i thought.... i'm sorry." i said slightly flushed. They could make a great pair. Maybe love existed for some people, who knows?

After break, we got to the counter to continue with work and i took Kelly's advice and but some earpiece in my ear to listen to "I was never there x woo" by the Weeknd and Rihanna.

Dropping the volume, i continued taking the orders till it was late and the our shift was almost over.

"I will get a cappuccino" I heard a voice which had me lifting my head from the notebook to see who it was and i was taken.

In all his glory, the guy from the hotel, what was he doing here.

"Hey babe, " he said smiling and my eyes almost fell of their sockets.

"...." I stared at him for i was so shocked to see him there. I wrote down the order and Kelly hurriedly took it away from me.

I will deal with her later.

"So you're done hoping around like a little bunny, huh?" he said

"Don't call me a bunny" I stated "and i said i didn't want anything to do with you."

"That's all you can remember saying" he chuckled. "Was i supposed to remember something else?" i asked and he shook his head

"Nothing else don't bother" he added and Kelly wasn't bringing the order.

"So what do you want? " i asked and smiled

"Just asking questions, you see, my life's been so boring lately and since i found someone with a much one interesting life, am just curious and don't want to miss any part of it. " he said in a serious tone.

Just then Kelly brought the cappuccino which would have taken her less time to make.

I gave it to them.

"Your order" I said and he took it

"Thanks. See you around" he said before leaving.

"Thank me for the favor" Kelly said laughing as he left.

"You're crazy" i replied clearly not finding it funny. but her laughter is contagious so i just had to laugh along with her.

"don't tell me its the husband?" she said and i rolled my eyes "no" I said and she just shrugged. We got changed before leaving the cafe.

"mind telling me how you met him" she asked seeming a little surprised

"in a hotel" i said and her eyes widened " not in the way you're thinking" i quickly added.

"dirty mind" she nudged me

"more dirty mind." i said laughing.

When we reached my apartment, she pulled me ahead before saying " you promised"

"fine. i forgot" i said as walked down to hers.

It was cute. described her perfectly and then i saw the famous cat.

"Its Kate" she said

"so cute" i said picking Kate up feeling her soft white fur.

"So tell me about you" she said picking a bottle of wine.

"You drink?" she asked and i nodded before she took out two glass.

"Its a Cabernet Sauvignon" i said

"Didn't think you'd be an expert" she said smiling as she poured some into my glass.

"I wouldn't say expert" i said. I learned a lot of things in my past life and drinking was one of them. I never told anyone because i thought they would judge me.

But i wasn't trying to please anyone anymore.

We discussed a bit and then i left.

I went and bought the things i couldn't buy the night before and then i went home and went to sleep hoping all goes well with my third day at work.

The week was going by fast.

I started of what to wear to dad's birthday this time. Last time i wore a gown a little too revealing because Anna told me Clark said he would like it, but i had everybody staring at me with bad eyes.

It was going to be a big occasion and i had to profit and give the divorce papers to Clark.

I went out for shopping with Kelly since Mama gave us an advanced pay and i told Kelly my family situation was complicated.

I didn't want them treating her like they treat me. She doesn't deserve it.

After hours in the fitting room, Kelly finally got me the perfect gown.

"Wow" she said after i got out of the fitting room.

The gown was an off shoulder black gown. It ended on my thigh and was well fitting showing off curves i never knew i had. The gown was simple, elegant and bold just what i was looking for.

We bought matching accessories and Kelly got some stuffs too.
