21 Parents' concern

A week after the Young Mistress An Guang's hair pinning ceremony which was held in conjunction of her fifteen birthday, her foster parents decided that it is time for her to venture into the Mortal Realm in order for her to gain more worldly experience due to the fact that she has been pampered and protected by everyone in the Celestial Realm. They are worried of course but with her cultivation and martial art prowess, she is definitely not an easy target. Plus, she is not alone and will also be travelling with her companions, the Four Celestial Maid-ens including Beast Lord Bai.

Dark Lord An Shenyuan and Light Mistress Guang Liang even told her to visit her birth par-ent once she enters the Mortal Realm but she refused and told them that there is no need for her to return to her family as her existence will not change anything. After all, things have changed slightly since her rebirth. She has another half-sister this time around. At least, she is happy with the change because her kind and caring concubine mother deserves her own happiness too. She remembers how sad her concubine mother was before her rebirth because she was unable to give birth to a child and always bullied by her other concubine mother whilst her kind yet ignorant mother seemed not to know anything about her beloved husband's concubines.

Seeing how Young Mistress An Guang stands on her ground in choosing not to meet her birth parents, Dark Lord An Guang and Light Mistress Guang Liang can only let her be. All they can hope is that Young Mistress An Guang is able to let go of the burden deep inside her heart.

As she listens to her foster parents advising her on what needed to be done once she enters the Mortal Realm, she suddenly says, "Father… About the Heaven Realm matters…"

Dark Lord An Guang nervously looks at his wife before he turns to look at his daughter, "An An… This is entirely my fault. Father really wanted to give you something special for your birthday without realizing the implication of it."

Young Mistress An Guang looks down and stares at her fair yet small hands as she smiles. Light Mistress Guang Liang noticed her smile and think about something before saying, "An An, your father felt guilty for his mistake and he had told me about the oath he has taken in exchange for your birthday gift. The Heavenly Lord is still a young man and mother never hears about him being involved nor engaged with another. Mother thinks that he ought to be given a chance to prove himself worthy."

Young Mistress An Guang lazily supports her head with her hand and says, "It is still early for us to decide anything just yet… After all, he is not that bad looking for a man."

Dark Lord An Shenyuan smiles and says, "The Heavenly Lord is indeed a good looking young man, An An. With his status and his looks, he is worthy to be by your side… Eh?"

Light Mistress Guang Liang lightly pat on his hand to stop him from saying further before she asks, "An An, how did you know that the Heavenly Lord is not that bad looking for a man? As far as I remember, you never even heard nor even met him before."

Young Mistress An Guang pretends to coughs before she says, "Just a wild guess… Ah, Lao-hu. There you are. I have been looking for you everywhere. We need to discuss our up-coming journey. Come… Come…"

Beast Lord Bai Laohu who has just coincidentally passed by the hall stops in his track with a questioning expression on his face as he looks at her before he looks at the pair of husband and wife with an obvious dumbfounded look on each of their faces. He then nervously says, "Ah. Yes. Yes. We need to discuss something. Yangzi has told me all about the journey. Eh, I mean… She has said that you wanted to discuss something with me. Ha! Ha! Ha!"

Dark Lord An Shenyuan stares at Beast Lord Bai Laohu with a dangerous glint in his eyes resulting in the pitiable tiger suffers from rapid heartbeats as he immediately runs after Young Mistress An Guang who is obviously trying to escape from the hall.

Light Mistress Guang Liang softly sighs and says, "That girl is using her tiger to escape from us… Silly child."

Dark Lord An Shenyuan then says, "I wonder if the Heavenly Lord is present during the banquet? If so, I did not even see a glimpse of him at the banquet."

"I do not know how he looks like, so I am not sure whether he attends the banquet or not… Are you sure that he is not one of the guests, husband?"

Dark Lord An Shenyuan tries to remember before he answers, "He is definitely not one of the guests. If he is indeed present, I would everything in my power to prevent both of them meeting each other."

Light Mistress Guang Liang gently pinches her husband's arm before she says, "You promised him that he could marry our daughter. How could you think of preventing them to meet with each other? They need to get to know each other well before their intended marriage thanks to your blunder. It seems like our daughter is not rejecting the marriage. We will see how it goes and if he sincerely loves her and treats her well, he will have my approval."

"I did not approve of him yet…"

Dark Lord An Shenyuan scratches his head as he tries his best to conceal his guilty feeling while Light Mistress Guang Liang stares at him as she sweetly smiles, a tell-tale sign that she is somewhat angry with him.

Dark Lord An Shenyuan takes a deep breathe before he turns his head to look at the new arrival who is standing at the entrance of the hall with one hand pointing at him while his other hand is holding onto someone's else hand.
