Hell was never what the living thought it to be. There are no burning lakes, no constantly screaming souls, and no demons ready to take pleasure in the pain of the tormented. Instead, Hell is a dream, an endless one shaped by the fears of everyone, twisting, adapting, evolving into natures that are more harrowing than a single imagination could have thought. Everyone is a wanderer, and the ultimate goal is to find an exit that may not exist, but the curse of a Torment makes continuing that search feel impossible. They turn to the gods and pray, unaware that the divine are prisoners like them. And then there is Lazarus. He arrived in hell expecting judgement; instead, he forgot he expected anything at all. Unlike every other Wanderer, Hell cannot read his fable. Leaving his name, his nature, and even his future incomprehensible to the world around him. And Lazarus doesn't have the intention of waiting for a god to save him. Betrayed in the mortal world and dragged into Hell as a sinner for crimes not committed, he must carve his own path to freedom in a hell he never believed existed– while the Torment that plagues him becomes harder to escape. Because in Hell, there is no savior ...but yourself.
