Entry #14: Similarities

I cackled silently as I watched Nick go back to our table.

I knew it! He had grown interested in the case.

Before returning to the group, I headed toward the shelves where yearbooks were kept. I took yearbooks from four years ago, during Almira's time, and two years ago, during Ruby's term as the club president.

I brought them with me and placed them on top of the table. I opened each on specific pages I wanted to show them.

"Look here…"

"So, Almira was the Math-Sci club president four years ago?" Roxanne asked, still trying to get a clear sense of what was going on.

I doubted she was really interested.

"And Ruby w-was also the club president two years ago," Simon added while looking at the yearbook.

I wrapped my arm around Simon's shoulders. "Why are you stuttering, dude? Are you usually like this, or you're just shy?"

He coughed awkwardly, and he answered me with, "Both."

I palmed my forehead. He was a hopeless case.
