"I'll t-tell you a s-secret," Simon suddenly said. He even looked around, cautious that there might be people listening.

We were sitting on a wooden bench under the shade of the mango tree, where Nick and I would usually discuss the case.

"I can manipulate the university's biometrics. If you're late, just tell me. I'll help you escape your penalty. I've been getting away with my tardiness since last year."

Rox's jaw dropped in awe. “Oh my gosh! Cool! You're a hacker?”

Simon nodded his head. I only heard about hackers in movies. Who would've thought I would meet one in person?

Seriously… this nerd? A hacker? I actually didn't believe it when he first said it.

"You're saying you can access anything about the school, right?" I asked, and I couldn’t hide the astonishment in my tone.

"Yes."

"How cool is that!" I exclaimed.

"What's so cool with that?" Nick indifferently butted in. "Hacking is illegal."
