Both Jesy, Clara and Akira left the office with none of them saying a word to each other. They were silent as the walked side by side. Each of them having so many thoughts in their heads, but none of them voiced their thoughts out.
'I wonder if they are nice? I would have preferred to work with a male gender. Women are just always dramatic and troublesome. I don't want another Lexi in my life, for the safety of my mental health.'
Jesy thought in her head as she fumbled with her handbag. Her face looked calm but she was actually debating with herself in her mind wether to start up a conversation and how to start up a conversation. She finally decided it was better to be quiet and everyone will go their own separate ways.
Akira could notice how uncomfortable both Clara and Jesy were sort of uncomfortable. It was normal and since she was experienced, she noticed it on time. She had worked with a lot of artist with different attitudes and behaviours which she had to put up with. A lot of them were so annoying and hard to work with, especially those from the influential and rich family.
But, from the moment she saw Jesy, her impression on her was a good one. She knew Jesy was totally different from most of the people she worked with in the past.
From the side of her eyes, she noticed Jesy was fumbling with her bag and Akira decided it was better to start up a conversation to do away with the awkwardness. But what would she talk about?
"You're curious too, right?"
Akira suddenly spoke and broke the silence, Jesy was still lost in her thoughts and she did not hear what Akira said. Jesy turned towards Akira with a lost look, she made a huh sound and Akira understood immediately that Jesy wasn't listening.
"I've been working here for four years and I've worked with different artists under the rule of our former CEO. We didn't expect it, it was sudden. Because nobody knew our former CEO had a son who turned out to be a masked man."
Akira said, she didn't know if this topic was a good one but she decided to give it a try.
Not just Jesy, but Clara also got interested in what Akira was saying. They both stared at Akira with keen interest as they began to understand what she was talking about. Their footsteps slowed down as their curiosity took the better of them.
"Mr Trevor became the new CEO just last year and it was said that he returned from Russia that same year. At first, the board of directors were against Mr Trevor being our new CEO, but as time went by, everyone began to accept him as the new leader."
Akira finished and both Jesy and Clara nodded their heads. They were new and didn't know that such things happened in the country's best entertainment company. They both stared at each other as they had questions to ask.
As if they both telepathically concluded, Jesy asked first.
"Have you ever seen what he looks like behind those mask? Perhaps, is he scarred in his face? That's why he is covering it with a mask."
Jesy whispered her question for only the three of them to hear and Clara nodded her head as she stared at Akira, waiting patiently for a reply from her.
Akira chuckled, she was taller than both girls and she was obviously older in terms of age. She stared down at them and replied to Jesy's question.
"No, he hasn't shown his face and I don't think it's scarred either. There must be a reason why he's refusing to show his face."
"What do you think he was doing in Russia, was he studying there?"
It was Clara who asked, she pushed her glasses up to the bridge of her nose as she waited for Akira to reply her question.
"He wasn't studying there because he already graduated from the best schools in the United States."
They both nodded in understanding. Now they were really curious about their CEO, but their curiosity wouldn't be satisfied because they had no business with the CEO's personal life. They already reached the elevator and Jesy opened it, but before they could step in, a voice made them stop in their tracks.
"You're gossiping about your CEO?"
The sudden voice made the three of them flinched. They felt there hearts summersaulted, except Akira. Although Akira flinched, but it was because of the sudden voice that rang out of nowhere.
Jesy and Akira were filled with dread, they both turned around slowly with their heartbeat loud in their chest. But Akira looked calm as she turned around to meet the owner of the voice with a slight smile that graced her red cherry lips.
