1 When a fan gets his wish

Well let's get this show on the road. First of my name is Ryan. Rookie author. Lover of all things chaotic and bacon covered. I love books. I love video games. I love cat videos on YouTube. Just anything that can get me away from the boring experience that is life. The first couple of years in my life were almost exactly like everyone else's. Happy kid with a nice family, hard working dad, caring mother. All that good stuff. We weren't rich by any means but we were content.

No as all things do life moves on from the wonders of childhood. You go to school, you get average grades cause your a kid and don't really give a shit. You make friends you get Pokémon cards, yugioh, beyblade. All the fun things in life. You find something you love. Runescape, manga, light novels.

You grow up and some of those stick with you for years. Mine was personally the Harry Potter books and the lost years of Merlin and I still played runescape.

You get older and things change again. Time seems to pass you by and in the blink of an eye your in your twenties. You've gone through some friends, life is more tedious and you sometimes live day by day to get by. But somewhere along the line you've lost yourself or become depressed or just don't know what to do. This happens to everyone. But unlike everyone else maybe it doesn't get better for you. You've lost your sense of belonging.

The world seems kind of dull you work long hours to buy stuff you don't need or even have time to use. You simply work your life away one day at a time. Your always tired or no longer find enjoyment in things you used to love.

So what do you do? You find something to fill that void. For me it was books so many books. I would get lost in the wonder of new worlds. I'd constantly download new things to read or just search up new sites in hopes of finding something to snag my attention. Cultivation. Magic. Cooking. Sports. Survival. Mystery.

After a couple of year I ran into a problem. They were so short. So I did what any other person with too much time and loads of knowledge would do. I started writing up my own books.

At first I was shit. You know how it is. Long paragraphs with crappy punctuation. Copy and paste. Trial and error. You start to spot what your good at and what your not good at. You go the safe route first. Fan fiction is always safe. But you slowly start to test the waters with your own novel. It's good people enjoy it. But your still new to writing so you have mistakes that everyone makes. But you keep going with your new fans always cheering you on.

That's how this story both starts and ends. With me laying in bed. Writing down some fun adventures when I fall asleep.

I wake up in the pure white room.

"I must say your adventures in your books are quite fascinating. I enjoy the humor myself." Says a voice with a light chuckle.

"Uh thank you?" I tell the voice.

"Ah no need to thank me my boy you see since reading your books I've decided to cause a little chaos myself and kill you off. I figure it's the greatest prank to your readers." The voice cackles.

"Wha? Ah dammit! Show your face and I promise I won't beat you up." I shout towards the echoing voice.

"Now now, you and me both know that's a lie." The. Voice cackles. "But to make up for my bit of mischief I'll grant you a wish. You only get one so make it very good."

"Only one? Cheapskate!" I say as the voice cackles.

"Will I retain my memories?" I ask the voice.

"Yes as I'm looking forward to what kind of chaos you'll cause." He says.

"Do I get to pick where to go?" I ask again.

"Yes." The voice says.

"I want a system with multiverse travel." I tell the voice.

"Sorry fresh out of multiverse travel." The voice cackles.

"Motherfucker!" I shout.

"I'll let you have a system but you'll only be able to travel to different versions of the world you choose. As the last guy I gave a multiverse system caused way too much havoc." The voice says while rubbing his head.

(An alternate version of me sneezes. "What? Someone talking shit?")

"Fine but I want adjustments to be done to the first world I go too." I barter.

"That's fine. So which world did you choose." The voice asks already knowing the answer.

"Of course it's going to be a Harry Potter world then I only have to worry about annoying death eaters." I tell the voice.

"Alright I'll set up the system now." The voice says. "As for your adjustments woo boy your a greedy little shit aren't ya? Don't bite off more than you can chew."

"Well what kind of fun time would I have if I went to regular old Harry Potter." I tell him.

"It's your funeral lad." The voice shrugs.

When the voice is done talking I feel like I'm swept off of my feet.

When I open my eyes I'm in a much smaller body sitting in a basket on the doorstep. Of where you might ask? Not the fucking Dursley's that's for sure and not even in that time period. I'm pretty sure I'm some time in the 50s. And I'm on the doorstep of an orphanage in London.

Soon theres a middle aged woman who opens up the door and discovers me in my little basket.

"Oh no." She says rushing over to pick me up. "Poor dear how long have you been out here?" She says looking around at the dew covered grass but my blanket is perfectly warm and not wet.

"Well let's get you inside shall we?" She says cooing at me and going to file a report. Since I'm a baby left on orphanage steps I am officially abandoned. So that's means they can take me in.
