Heir of Abraxus - A Harry Potter Fanfiction

One day truck-kun found Julius, but he survived or did he? This is a story about someone who, after getting his wishes after his meeting with truck-kun, awakens in the world of Harry Potter and his rise to the top to explore this new world. This is my first story if anyone actually does read it I would be happy about constructive criticism. - - - - - - - - - - Update: My uplod schedule has become very irregular so be warned. I do intend to see this through until completion but after the end of a volume (probably after every year at Hogwarts) I do plan to take breaks in the hopes that I‘ll start into the new volume with more of an idea where I wanna go with it.

A new life

When Julius looked around he was sitting on a bed inside a big room with elegant, expensive looking furnishing. Suddenly he felt a strong headache, causing him to grit his teeth to hold quiet.

Luckily the headache ceased after a few seconds, even though just those few seconds felt like an eternity to him. It seemed this headache also conveniently gave him the memories of the body he was currently in, to be precise the memories of "Julius Aurelius Greengrass", as his more or less "new" name was.

During this time he felt a wide range of emotions, from embarrassment to warmth or even hate, primarily for his „father".

'It seems I was born from an affair of my father, Florian Greengrass, with my mother of whom I only know that she was also part of a pureblood family, else my "father" would have never kept me after the death of my mother in childbirth. Who would have thought something like that would even be a thing for wizards? This feels fishy I should investigate this matter sometime when I'm strong enough to do so without having to fear someone obliviating me or something like that. But for now I am only a 4-year-old child with no one to rely on as mother doesn't seem to want to do something against her husband.'

After all of these memories Julius already saw his stepmother as his real one, after all he had been an orphan in his last live and now he had just gotten the memories of this body, which Adorabella surprisingly treated as if he was her own child despite this clearly not being the case and her obvious knowledge of that fact, which made his only memories of having a mother be the memories of his new body, basically filling the empty space where the memories of his mother from his past life should have been.

Not that he consciously acknowledged her as his mother or anything, these new memories might be his, but knowing how they came to be, they felt fake, as if this R.O.B. had implanted them into his mind instead of the memories of his last life into this new body.

But while his stepmother treated him quite well, his real father wasn't this nice. It seemed Florian Greengrass had the goal to make his son the same well-mannered ice prince Daphne was in the original Harry Potter, or at least how she was made out to be by close to every single fanfiction author ever.

And as the powerful wizard he was, Julius' father didn't need to rely on hitting his son or similar things to punish him for the slightest of mistakes, after all a high powered stinging hex could do a much better job at inflicting pain without doing serious damage.

And he didn't have any apprehensions to using the cruciatus curse on either his wife or his son if he felt that the latter had truly embarrassed him.

Not even the young age of his son could stop him if he saw something he considered to be "unbefitting" for a descendant of the noble Greengrass family.

'At least one good thing came out of all this', thought Julius, 'after all he finally decided I wouldn't bring it far enough for him to be satisfied like this and made an appointment with a skilled wizard specialising on the branch of mind magic. Though he might not be of the level of Alan Burkes as described in a few fan-fictions he had read he should still be able to help me as I already know the concept of mind magic and only need things like the presence of a legilimens in my head which I can't really do by myself. And after all I don't even know if Alan exists in this universe, heck, I don't even know yet of this is an au or like the original.'

'Now what should I try first?', after a few minutes Julius was still sitting on his bed where he woke up, pondering if he should immediately start trying to train his magic or check his system first.

'Welp I guess using magic wandless and as a child should be quite the arduous task so let's try the system first. Hopefully I don't have to actually say something, that would be awkward.'

'System!'

The following silence was even more awkward than he would have thought.

'Hopefully this will work else I might not even use this system at all out of shame!'

'Status!'

To Julius' relief this time something actually happened. A transparent blue panel appeared in the air in front of him.

Status

Name: Julius Aurelius Abraxus

Age: 4 years (of 142)

Bloodline(s):

Abraxus (dominant)

The bloodline of the Abraxus family famously creates wizards especially capable in the dark arts, its biggest positive aspect is a boost in the ability too learn death-related magic far faster than anyone else. In return any wizard with this bloodline is not able to use the patronus spell. (Further information locked for the time being)

Greengrass (cursed)

The Greengrass family's bloodline originally created wizards with strong physical abilities but (unknown) placed a curse on it, therefore limiting the physical capabilities of its descendants extremely. In some cases the curse affects descendants of this bloodline enough to even make them extremely weak to the point where early deaths are expected and any physically straining activities can lead to a seizure further worsening the overall condition of the affected while. The curse feeds itself of the mana of the host and therefore slightly reduces his mana regeneration and grow of the already existing amount.

Black (diluted)

The Black family's bloodline provides in its diluted form only a moderately big boost on the ability to learn any of the dark arts. The predisposition for a madness developed over generations of incest is completely cancelled by the dilution coupled with a met requirement of mana.

Looking at this much information at once Julius couldn't help but stare dumbfounded:

'Well if that isn't interesting. It seems all the inbreeding of the British pureblood family's finally had a use even if this physical malus is annoying. Abraxus seems to be the name of my biological mother's family, strange I have never heard of it so this is probably an au then. But what would "death magic" be now? Isn't Avada Kedavra and the like just another part of the dark arts? Well at least I know how the curse can be treated. I just need to practice blood magic to a certain level and with my high level talent I should at least have no problem with this right?'

With all this new information new plans needed to be made and new goals set.

But first came finally leaving the bed. His "father" didn't like it when he came late to breakfast.
