"What on earth are you doing here Caroline?"
"I was… Actually I was…" and Caroline was at loss of words. 'Did he not see Morpheous and Mogwai on the way up? Where did those two vanish?' There was a parallel track of thoughts that was being processed inside her head and that made her sound like a fumbling fawn.
"What's with this spade and this digging?" Dr. Van asked again and Caroline could feel the burn in her legs. Never in her life, she had been so out of reasons to give. She had been caught and that too red-handed.
So she retorted back, "Why are you here? That too in the dead of the night?"
"This package came for her." And saying that Dr. Van held the flap of his coat and took out a small carton. "I came to drop it here as I have no idea who else I should have given it to."
"How did you get the package?"
"I didn't get it. I overheard at the trauma unit that a package had arrived, and they were deliberating over it."
