Chapter 1

Ahhhhh!

"What is that?!" Someone asked frightened.

"It....it looks like a..." The person paused for a moment before he completed.

"It's a wild animal!" And everyone in the market started running for their lives. "How did a werewolf get in here? I thought they'd all been killed years ago." The same man who spoke earlier asked again but the people were far gone to another world where they were only thinking of their lives and how they'd save it so they didn't even bother to answer.

In just one minute, the whole market had been ruined and scattered about by werewolves. An old man who, from view seemed to be having a leg problem ran as fast as he could but his legs failed him. Out of nowhere, a werewolf came to stand in front of him. Its eyes were red as it stared at him with fury. The man stretched out a wooden stake from the corner of the market street and aimed for the werewolf's heart but the werewolf was faster. It jerked the stake out of his hand and tore his body into pieces.

Other werewolves too could be seen running about, injuring and killing people in the background as if they had been compelled to do so as they roamed about like wild beasts.

Meanwhile, a man and woman inside a farm who weren't aware of what was happening outside the market were calmly standing there packing their tools for the farmwork into a medium-sized Nylon bag. When they were done, they immediately moved away from the bush. The man held the bag in his right and a hoe in his other hand while the woman was carrying a baby in her hand.

As they kept on moving away from the farm, they heard a slight commotion coming from the people at the market.

At first, the woman stopped to look around the environment to make sure there was no danger because she was getting an awkward feeling while the man kept on moving into the market place curious to know why there was a commotion when out of nowhere, a werewolf appeared in front of him and before he could make a move, it caught hold of his upper body and demarcated it.

The woman, seeing the incident which just took place, without wasting time immediately started running with her baby who was well fixed on her right arm. The werewolf made incoherent noises and chased after her through the forest. The woman ran as quick and fast as she could while making sure her baby was still well-positioned in her arm. She wanted to scream but knew she would only call for more attention from the werewolves.

Finally, when she had run for a long while and noticed the footsteps of the wild animal had reduced, she reduced her speed almost about to sigh in relief when she hit her leg on a plank and she fell with a loud bang... The child she had been holding firmly in her grip stumbled along with her into a leaf-like structure that covered its whole body. The baby started crying profusely at the pain that ached in its small body and as the mother was about to start comforting her child, the ferocious beast that had been after her for a while caught up with her and dragged her body to a corner before tearing it down.

As it was about to aim for the child, a loud gunshot was heard in the background followed by a trapped net used to cage the wild animal which groaned in pain. The werewolf hunters immediately hurried to carry the confined werewolf to the market side where other werewolves too had been caught and withheld in nets. The ruckus in the area had already been tamed by the hunters before a royal carriage arrived. It was the King and Queen...
