Chapter 8
I walked into Adrian's house and was immediately met with awe. I looked at the expensive vases that were perched on top of the several tables that lined the halls. I looked at the numerous photos of Adrian and his family. We had walked into the living room were I saw a woman, probably in her early forties, with long brown hair and beautiful green eyes, I guess she's Adrian's mom
"Adrian Alexander Woods, I thought I told you never to take that junk of scrap metal you call a bike out of the garage" the lady said glaring daggers at Adrian.
"Relax mom, I only took it because my cars at the shop"
"Ok, but next time tell me before you do something like that again, you know how I feel about those things, especially after what happened to your uncle Graham"
" Yeah yeah I know, don't worry"
" Don't use that time with me- who do we have here? " She said turning to me, acknowledging my presence
" Um, hi?" I said not really sure of what to do.
" Adrian, it's about time you brought a girl home"
" Mom!! " Adrian said turning beet red
" What's your name dear?" His mom asked me
"Um, it's Gabrielle" I said a bit nervous
"What a lovely name,tell me how long have you and my son been going out?"
"Um, actually"
"We've been going out for about a month and if you'll excuse us mom we have a project to work on" Adrian said pushing me upstairs
" What was that for?" I asked once we were inside his room
" What are you talking about?" He asked clearly bored
" What do you mean what am I talking about, what's with the whole ' we've been going out for about a month' ", I said mimicking him
" Ok (a) I do not sound like that and (b) it's not everyday you get to date Adrian Woods"
" Ok, don't get cocky or your doing this project by yourself"
" Ha ha" laughed drily
" Hey Adrian mom said you brought a girl home" a girl said bursting through the door
" Ugh, do you ever knock Adriana?"
"Why would I need to?" She says smugly
"Your annoying"
" Aww,I've you too bro"
I stood there feeling a little out of place
"So I see mom isn't lying" she said taking in my presence
" At least she's decent, man I owe Brittany a lot of money"
" And why is that?" Adrian asked
" Well, because we made a bet on whether or not you would bring a girl home and whether or not mom would like her, Britt said that you would bring home a girl in the next week and that mom would like her while I said that you will bring home a girl in the next year or two, and it's clear that Britt won the bet, why can't you help me out I could have won the bet"
" Maybe when you learn to drop betting on my Life I will but for now how much did you bet on me" Adrian asked
" 500"
" What the heck Adriana"
" What?" She asked innocently
" How am I related to you"?"
" Well we're twins so get used to it"
At this point I giggled.
" I see you find it funny" Adriana said turning to me,"what's your name anyway?"
" It's Gabrielle, Gabby for short.and sorry but you brother and I are not dating" i said
" Wait,if your not dating then that means I don't have to pay Brittany any thing, you may not be dating my brother but I love you already" she said engulfing me in a hug
" If you two are done we have a project to do"
"Oh lighten up you grouch" Adriana said
"Whatever" Adrian muttered
" Is he always like this?" I asked
" You don't even know the half of it"
I giggled and that's when Adrian pushed her out of the room and slammed the door
" Ok so let's get started" I said after he had shut the door.

After an hour or two we had half the work done.
"Hey Adrian can you pass me that note book" I asked since I was sitting on the bed and Adrian was at his desk.
"Yeah" he said as he passed me the note book.
"Thanks" I said jotting down the remaining few points and u was done. I got up and stretched my arms I looked at the desk and realised that Adrian was gone. I wonder where he went?. I walked over to his desk and looked through his half of the project.
"What are you doing?" A voice startled me from behind. I turned around and felt my face instantly heat up at the close proximity between Adrian and I.
"Nothing" I replied quickly then I heard the click of a camera and we turned around to face Adriana with her phone in hand and she was laughing like crazy.
"Are you sure you two aren't a thing?" She asked with a smirk and ran of while Adrian chased her to make her delete the photo before she did something dumb. I smiled at his childish the two of them are. Coming here I saw another side of Adrian that I've never seen before, but then again I barely know is him. Snapping out of my train of thoughts I left the comfort of Adrian's room and went in search of the two wacky twins.
