Chapter 7

It's been a week since Cameron told me to stay away from Adrian and so far I've been avoiding Adrian like my life depended on it and come to think of it Cameron make a good point. Plus I technically don't have a choice since my brother and I go to the same school and all, so he's basically watching me like a hawk. After getting dressed for school I checked in with Kara to see which class she had first and it turned out that we both had Chemistry, so we headed there first.

I walked into the Chemistry lab and I took my seat with Kara at the centre left of the class, we began chatting about basically everything when Cameron and Adrian walked in together,and honestly I never thought I would see those two together,especially after the whole stay away from Adrian thing. I don't think Cameron saw is though because it looked like they were having a really heated conversation.

"Hey Cameron", I said startling Cameron

"Uh hey Gabby", he said nervously rubbing the back of his neck

"So am I interrupting something"?", I asked

"Uh-

" No we just finished talking anyway", Adrian said cutting him off

" I wonder what's his problem?" I muttered under my breath

" Ok class take your seats so that we can start" the teacher said walking into the class

" So today to continue our lesson in the study of radioactivity you all will be working in pairs of two to complete a project,which will entail the study of radioactivity, so does anyone have a question?" At that every hand in the class was up

" It's nice to see you all participating in class for once,but before I answer any question you will have to know that the partner you will be working with shall be picked by me and not yourselves", the teacher said and all the raised hands dropped.

" Good since there are no interruptions then the pairs are as follows"

"Ciara and Angel"

" Justin and Ashley"

" Kimberly and Kyle"

" Austin and Mindy"

" Kara and Matt"

" Cameron and Jordan"

" And lastly, Adrian and Gabrielle"

I feel like I'm about to die right now, what the heck is this thing about me and Adrian pairing up,how am I supposed to a kid him now, even though he did nothing to me but I still avoid him like a creep, does that make me a creep. I am literally hyperventilating, oh for the love of Pete I hope I don't pass out.

"Also this assignment is to be submitted on Friday and seeing as today is Monday I expect you and your partner to be working closely together" the teacher said. Man I feel like I am actually cursed or something. But no worries all I have to do is complete this stinking project with Adrian and I'm home free

After school I decided to look for Adrian to clarify a few things up

"Hey Adrian!" I called out to him in the school parking lot

"Yeah,what do you want"

"So much for being approachable"

"Just tell me what you want so I can leave"

" As you must obviously know, were partnered up, so I just wanted to know when your cool with working on the project, so that we can get this thing over with"

" Okay, how about today"

" Today?"

" What are you scared of being alone with me or you're just gonna continue avoiding me like the plague?"

" Nope, today is fine so where are we doing it?"

" How about my place"

" Why can't we just go to s cafe or a library?"

" Look, I'm not gonna murder you so are you coming or not?"

" Yeah,I guess", I ended up agreeing against my better judgement if I might add

"Since I'm coming along, where's your car"

"Oh yeah,didn't come with it today"

" So how are we going to go to your house then"

"Well we could use my bike"

" Your bike?" I asked a bit skeptical, a pet of me wishes that he was referring to a bicycle but another greater part knew he meant a motorcycle. We reached where he kept his bike and he got on.

" What are you waiting for?" He asked putting in a helmet

"Nothing" I said

"Wait, don't tell me that your scared?", He said laughing at me. I can't believe this joker is laughing at me.

"Hey I'm not scared"

"Ok since your not then get on" he said handing me a helmet

"Fine",I said putting in the helmet and getting on. We rolled out of the parking lot and onto the main road and that ladies and gentlemen was my queue to hold onto Adrian for dear life.

"Your not scared huh?" I could hear the smirk in his voice

"Oh shut up" I said squeezing my eyes shot. After what felt like for ever j heard the engine stop and I jumped down from the bike, my legs a bit shaky. I was taking in my surroundings when I noticed the big mansion in front of me.

"Um Adrian I said take me to your house and not the freaking play boy mansion"

" Um this IS my house" he replied sheepishly.

I wonder what awaits on the other side.
