Everyone was shocked, even Draco too, and looked at Lorion's table. There was a silver needle in place of the matchstick. Even now, Professor McGonagall was too confused to logically explain how Lorion achieved such a fleet.
She cleverly took out another match and handed it to Lorion "Mr. Gaunt, can you please demonstrate to the class how you successfully achieved the transfiguration? Perhaps it can encourage your peers to work harder"
Lorion himself had no idea what was going on. He still took out his wand, followed the gesture and said [Acusignis]
Again, the match changed into needle all the same. Lorion again felt that transfiguration was quite instinctive in him. Just following the instincts were enough for him to master this transfiguration!
McGonagall, who wished to find something unusual to explain the logic of such a genius transfiguration spell master, failed miserably. With a smile at her face, she told Lorion to sit down, while she guided others with the spell.
However, the atmosphere of the classroom strangely changed. While Slytherin were happy, the Gryffindor were upset. The most upset would be the little girl of the trio, Hermione herself. She felt as if her intelligence was challenged by Lorion and started practicing the spell more vigorously.
By the end of the class, only Hermione apart from Lorion succeeded in her spell. Guess, hard work does leads to success.
Lorion went to Professor McGonagall and requested her permission to borrow the books of advanced transfiguration. Professor McGonagall agreed readily, but only allowed Lorion to practice transfiguration knowledge till third standard. From standard four, the knowledge was difficult and somewhat life threatening.
After the small chat with Professor and obtaining her approval, Lorion went out of the class only to meet Draco, Crabbe and Goyle waiting for him. Draco proudly patted his shoulder, as if encouraging him to keep up the hard work.
Crabbe and Goyle too gave him a hug happily. They all went to the Great Hall and had lunch together. It would not be advisable to be late today, as they had Potion's class this afternoon.
While eating, Draco kept bragging about Lorion's achievements, while Lorion himself was immersed in thoughts. He was quite sure in his one year stay of muggle world that he had no golden finger. The abnormal memory and quick thinking ability can be attributed to merging of soul. However, what about transfiguration? How did he become so good at it?
Suddenly, he remembered something. The spell [Pneuma Vorare] of Herpo the Foul! It was supposed to be a contract spell, drawn on a slice of skin of Boggart. It is well known that Boggarts are masters of transfiguration and mind reading. They can change themselves into anything the others fear. It seems that signing the magic spell might have had an influence on him, making Lorion a master of Transfiguration! This was the only logical conclusion Lorion could come up with.
