Ch 21: Classes

Lorion was once again not allowed to complete his sleep. Max, who spent his entire evening sleeping alone, was filled with resentment towards Lorion and thus, Lorion had to suffer his wrath once he woke up.

Finally, Lorion coaxed Max with roasted chicken before he was forgiven by Max. What surprised Lorion most was how proficient Max was becoming in his choranaptyxic and can now easily change his shape to turn into the size of a bracelet and coil around Lorion's hand, or become as big as his room and sleep comfortably.

Lorion looked at today's schedule. He had two classes today, both of which Slytherin and Gryffindor were supposed to hold together. One was the transfiguration class of Professor McGonagall and the other was the potions class of Professor Snape.

Lorion spent most of his time reading books on Potions and Spells. He hadn't even flipped the cover of the Transfiguration text book. So, Lorion had no prior idea of how transfiguration works. However, he remembered that McGonagall was quite punctual and so, he didn't wish to be late.

Having his breakfast with Draco, both of them quickly went to transfiguration class. Only a handful of students were present in class, along with a small tabby cat sitting on the bench.

Lorion sat down with Draco and wanted to flip through the pages. However, Draco kept chatting with Lorion, making it difficult for him to focus.

"Dad told us to write to him once we reach Hogwarts. Have you written your letter Lorion? Are you going to send the letter with Max? Is he big enough to remember the routes?"

Lorion was used to Draco's eagerness and answered calmly "No, I will write to uncle Lucius this weekend. And Brother Draco, I can't possibly let Max carry the letter. I am grateful to uncle and our Headmaster to allow me to keep Max with me, otherwise, with Max's temper, he would have vanished soon. I am planning to use the Hogwarts owl to send the letters."

While both of them were chatting, the whole class gradually filled up, leaving only Harry and Ron, who were late. As Harry and Ron rushed in, they only saw the tabby cat and the students, but no Professor McGonagall.

Ron and Harry stood panting while Hermione was sitting, copying few notes from the book of transfiguration. Lorion also managed to attract Draco's attention towards the book and both of them were copying notes as well.

Suddenly Ron said "Amazing, we would not have wanted to look at old McGonagall's face if we were late!"

However, before he even completed his statement, the tabby cat jumped down from the table and turned into Professor McGonagall.
