Passing time

Nick had to physically restrain Helena however when she started touching everything in the workshop messing up his nice orderly space. He couldn't exactly kick her out of the workshop either as until she figured out how to control the corporeality of the ring she would basically be telling Voldemort "Hey look at me! I know how to have a body despite being a ghost!" which would definitely not end well for Nick. That said he wasn't just going to let her go messing up his workshop because she was happy to be corporeal again.-

"You know you can't use magic right now right?" Nick asked after seeing her staring at the transfigured rope holding her in place. Obviously she was trying to use a wandless spell of some sort but couldn't. "Why?" she asked frustrated at this revelation. "If I had to guess I'd assume I would need to include knowledge of veritology to the enchantment in order to allow spell casting. Right now though you are pretty much just a muggle." he said honestly. "ARGH! But that will take so long to get good at!" she complained clearly upset. Nick shrugged since there was nothing he could do about that.-

Veritology was the art of crafting wands as magic foci for the wizards of the world and was much deeper than it appeared at first thought. Nick honestly only knew the most common of information about this craft such as that the wood must be from a magical tree and that the core must be from a magical creature. That was pretty much the entirely of his knowledge of the subject leaving him in the awkward position of being unable to alter the enchantment on the ring. Eventually Helena simply had to accept that despite his frankly crazy level of enchantment skill for his age Nick still had clear limits.-

Nick could only put the subject of ring wraiths on hold after that as he needed to focus on several projects at the same time and any more would burn him out. There was the homework from classes , the commission from Mcgonagall which was set to earn him a very pretty penny. Then there was his foundation solidification alongside his training to improve his power that was slow going and finally the fact he refused to totally sacrifice his social life. All of this simply meant that he had no time to spare for an extra subject at the moment.-

Nick noticed immediately when Harry saw the conversation between Snape and Quirelmort in the forbidden forest as he suddenly had the courage to play Quidditch under the potion masters gaze in order to keep an eye on him. Nick also noticed that Quirrell was getting paler and more unhealthy looking the closer to the game it got which Harry thought was because he was trying to breach the traps but in fact was from the clash between Voldemort's soul and Quirrell's soul and body.-

The game finally came around and unlike what many were expecting Harry caught the snitch within five minutes of the start by flying within inches of Snape much to the surprise of the man who paled as a result. Things were fairly quiet after that for quite a while as nearly a month had passed and besides the monthly sacrifice from Grindelwald nothing seemed to be happening. The teachers and Hermione had seemed to have gotten it into their heads to stuff as much information into the students as possible however what with summer and the exams coming.-

Nick was having none of it from Hermione though since he had already proven himself to have already mastered the first year knowledge and then some forcing her to leave him out of her mandated study sessions everyday. Harry , Ron , Tracy and Daphne weren't so lucky however as Hermione dragged them to the library after every class day ended. Nick wasn't idle throughout this time however as he had been forced to create a ring that suppressed his presence as it had started to get out of hand. His physical body had also started to change though not dramatically just simply things like his complexion.-

One thing he was grateful for however was that the change to his soul had finally finished leaving his spiritual energy an equal mix of gold and white when he forged. This had also caused his magic to skyrocket leaving him at the moment with an energy pool at about the middle of the fifth year students. To put this into perspective Harry's magic was roughly at the level of a third year students at the moment from the boost the soul shard gave him. Unfortunately Harry's magic also stopped growing so fast which meant it had roughly settled at a certain improvement over time now unless he started working it more.
