Harry Potter: The God of Magic (BEING REWRITTEN)

---THIS STORY IS CURRENTLY BEING REWRITTEN--- (Disclaimer: the first few chapters are a little rough due to me trying to find my footing with this story but after that, the story cements itself as in my opinion a pretty good one. and let's be honest, there is way worse out there lmao. Enjoy!) 'Why? Why must this go on? When will it end?' these words were the first thoughts that a "new" baby had. Alaric Reinhardt has lived through countless lifetimes, reincarnated every few centuries. the baffling thing is, he keeps reincarnating into the same bloodline. From the dawn of man to the height of the roman empire, to the discovery of the Americas, he has seen it all. It wasn't until he was reincarnated into the 11th century that he realized he was in the world of harry potter. After countless times of being reincarnated, he has finally made it to the 20th century in Britain. How will he live this life, will he stay secluded, will he venture out and make a name for himself, only time will tell, and he has plenty of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi guys, this is my first attempt at fanfic, if there are any grammar, spelling, or even issues with the harry potter continuity that I didn't purposely change, please tell me. With that being said this is a slight AU, there won't be any giant changes like Harry's parents being alive, no, they are very much dead. with that being said, a character or two or an event or two might be slightly changed for the betterment of the story With that being said I hope you all like my story!

Gotta Catch 'Em All!

Authors note:

As the days go by and more people read, I've seen multiple comments of people complaining that he has lived all of these past lives and doesn't know wand magic and all that due to a misunderstanding in an earlier line.

the line where Alaric says "Huh, maybe wand magic isn't so useless after all." isn't meant to say he doesn't know and charms or curses or the like, it means he finds the use of a wand mostly useless because, in his past experience, it has only inhibited his use of magic, which we now know is ancient magic, a more free-flowing form of magic.

So I'm sorry for those who were confused and ill admit it is a bit of a plot hole on my part, but only because I haven't fully fleshed out his abilities in this story yet.

So please bear with me it will all be revealed in due time, and for those who have stuck by me even after that, I thank you!

And if you think something is a plot hole, more often than not it actually isn't, the way i write is a mix of foreshadowing, and puzzles, I don't like laying EVERYTHING all out at once, i like the journey of figuring things out and such, I'm sorry if that's a drop worthy thing for you, if so have a good life!

--The streets of wizarding Paris--

Currently strolling down the beautiful and ornate streets of wizarding Paris, was a trio of wizards who sported ashen white hair and glowing gold-colored eyes, accompanying them was a man and boy, who looked remarkably similar, they both had the same dark-colored hair and slim frame, but what set them apart was the boys dark yellow/amber colored eyes.

This group of wizards of course was the Lord of House Reinhardt, his two grandchildren, and the Duval duo of father and son.

""So Alaric, what kind of creatures do you wish to see at the auction and maybe even buy?"" asked a curious Sofia to her little brother who had the same cold and calm look that was his new normal plastered on his face

""Hmm, I wouldn't mind seeing if they had a few Magic Wolves or even another Hippogriff, who knows, they may even have some winged horses or griffins there."" Alaric said with a noticeable amount of excitement when talking about the creatures, which seem to be one of the few topics that get him to show any emotion lately.

""Those all sound dangerous..."" Pouted the overprotective sister Sofia

""Yes, they do, especially the Magic Wolves, which now that I think about it, I've never even seen a magic wolf."" Louis said while trying to recall if he's ever spotted one before

""Well, I would really expect any of you save for grandfather to have seen one, they used to be quite abundant all across the world but over the centuries they have been driven out from their homes by muggles, and wizard development and have dropped in number due to wizards also hunting them for sport."" Alaric said while a flash of anger appeared on his face but left just as soon as it came

As the group was walking and talking, Alaric's sense went off and he immediately shot his gaze upwards to where a wizard was levitating a sizable piano up to an open window and he seemed to quickly lose his control of the spell.

Within moments later, the wizard lost his hold on the object and it fell down toward Louois and Silas who were on the right of him, not wanting to see them get hurt, Alaric quickly muttered a spell to avoid any and all possibility of it failing.

"Levioso!" Alaric called out as he raised his hand that held the ring magic focus, and within seconds of him casting the charm, the piano was caught in suspended animation.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Sofia said as she helped her brother bring it down to the ground, even though he had it all under perfect control, seeing her eleven-year-old brother cast an advanced-level charm, just to make sure, Sofia helped bring it down.

""I am so sorry!"" A man came running out yelling

""T-Thank you for s-stopping the piano."" the man said between pants

As the group said their farewells to the man who was now getting berated by what seemed to be the owner of the piano, Theodoric looked toward Alaric's direction and took note of the slightly annoyed look on his face.

"I know you felt like you had things under control Alaric but your sister still wanted to help just in case."

"I know grandfather, I have no qualms with Sofia feeling the need to help, I am still eleven I guess, I'm more so irritated by all of the gawking onlookers, I mean, have they never seen a magical focus besides a wand before?" Alaric said with a cold tone like usual. "It's not like I used wandless magic or anything like that."

'Even though I easily could'

"While that may be true, most European wizards as a whole have never seen any kind of foci except a wand, so to the uneducated fellow, it may have been perceived as you using wandless magic," Theodoric said to his grandson

'What a farce, wandless magic was where it all started, now they act like its something special.' Alaric thought, not realizing how hard it is for the average wizard even back in his hay day two millennia ago to use wandless magic as masterfully as him.

'I guess I did have several millennia to experiment huh.' He thought with a sigh now realizing how skewed his worldview truly is

--A few minutes later at the entrance of the restaurant--

""Ah! Lord Reinhardt, you made it, it is my utmost pleasure to welcome you to France, please, follow me to the table."" Minister Émilien came out from the front of the restaurant to personally receive the party and led them to their seating arrangements

""I'm sure you all will be quite satisfied by the course we will be having tonight."" the minister said while walking into a secluded booth and holding the curtain for them to enter

As Alaric was walking in he was momentarily stopped by the minister who wanted to briefly talk. ""Ah, you must be the heir, Alaric, its a pleasure, I am Émilien."" after exchanging pleasantries the minster got to the point

""So young man, I've heard of your feat earlier while walking on the streets.""

'Hm, it seems the intelligence gathering of the French ministry is quite fast, well, not like it affects me.'

""Yes sir, I saw the man losing control over his levitating charm and it came crashing down towards my uncle and cousin so I instinctively reacted with a spell that I read about not too long ago.""

""How wonderfully talented you must be to use a spell for the first time to such mastery, and if you beg my curiosity, that ring must be one of the famous Reinhardt magical foci rings"" the minister said with genuine harmless interest

The two talked for a short time before they eventually sat down and wrapped up the conversation with the minister offering Alaric to come to Beuxbatons which he promptly refused.

--A hour or so later--

The night had been going splendidly and the group was having quite a pleasant time, at least, for the most part, Alaric himself was bored to death, he never was one for these games the elites of society liked to play.

he especially found dinners like this terribly dreadful, and that was only amplified when the chefs brought out an assortment of different cuts of dragon meat, along with some wine that had Re'em blood in it, a delicacy most influential wizard-like to enjoy.

Although he was fine with the Re'em blood due to them practically being magical cattle, the dragon meat rubbed him the wrong way, especially since he had dragon blood in him.

It got to be around a half hour before the magical creature auction began so Alaric decided it was as good a time as any to bring it up to the minister.

""Minister Émilien, if it is no trouble, may I request that you escort us to the magical creature auction happening tonight?"" Alaric asked

Seeing this as a chance to better ingratiate himself with the seemingly cold heir to the House of Reinhardt, the minister jumped at the opportunity.

""Why, of course, I would be delighted to accompany you and your party to the auction, I hear that the Felern brothers will be hosting it this year, there may even be some rare creatures up for auction.""

The Felern Family were world-renowned auctioneers for all things magical creature related, in fact, their grandfather even had a run-in with one Newton Scamander a long while back when he crashed one of the auctions to help the creatures.

""I didn't know that you were so attentive to the dealings of magical creatures."" Émilien said with some surprise.

""Oh yes, I quite adore all kinds of magical creatures and they seem to feel likewise, hence why at such a young age I have an XXXXX-level magical creature ownership license.""

Like most people, the minister and his assistant who had been quietly sitting with them the entire team, showed quite a dumbfound expression when they heard what he just said

""How remarkable, at such a young age too.""

And with that being said, the party finished their meals and exited the restaurant toward the venue for the auction, an old opera house that was bought by the Felern Family and decked out with different charms and wards to not only expand the space inside but to also repel any muggles from coming into the auction.

--The Felern Auction House--

""Marcellus!."" called out a man who looked quite similar to the person he just called out to

""What's the matter Simon?"" asked Marcellus

These two men were the Felern brothers, the current owners of Felern Magical Creatures Auctions, or simply the FMCA.

""Those blasted creatures are making a fuss, it seems like all of them are excited about something that is to come."" Simon said with a worried tone

Currently, within the Auction house stables, the contents of today's auction were 5 Hippogriffs of racing stock, all born from the same pairing of previous Hippogriff racing champions.

Two Macedonian Griffons, who were both captured together and seemed to be a mating pair.

And the big ticket creatures of the night, 5 magic wolf pups who were taken from the den of a mother magic wolf who was hunted and killed in the forests of Finland.

""Use whatever charms you can to calm them down. Don't hurt them too much, after all, a quick healing charm should work as long as you don't go too far! They are our merchandise, we can't allow our names to be smeared for low-quality goods!"" Marcellus said in a raised voice

Hearing his brother's words, Simon smiled an almost evil smirk and walked away

--Entrance to the Felern Auction House--

"Huh? I just had a sudden feeling that I'm going to have to hurt someone tonight." Alaric said to himself in a lowered voice

"Hm? Did you say something Alaric?" Sofia who was seated right next to him asked

"Sorry, I'm just talking to myself." he flashed a fake smile at his sister

'Let me see.' Alaric quickly spread out his magic around him and when he came upon the image of what looked like a man beating some hippogriffs into submission, Alaric quickly knew that he truly was going to have to break someone's bones tonight.

'Oh I can't wait, it's been some time since I've used my magic against someone.' Alaric thought with an evil plotting smile
