Not a Fix it fic, of course, some futures will change but the main focus will not be on fixing the future. SI: Mc is not reincarnated into this world Timeline: some characters might be younger or older disclaimer: So, most of this obviously belongs to J.K.Rowling. I'm just writing a fanfiction out of it. Second Dueling Club Metting

*Morpheus Pov*

Walking down the corridor I arrived at the next dueling club meeting, this time only a handful of professors were present, and it wasn't as grand as the first club meeting.

Finding a good spot near the back of the crowd, the children near me seemed to give me a wide range of space.

I watched as the professors would invite students into the dueling platform and correct their forms, stop the duels, and give suggestions. Talk about footwork and most of all talk about the differences they might face in a duel versus a real fight.

I was honestly impressed, I didn't think the two professors would plan so in-depth, Filius was also there pitching in where he saw it to be prudent.

As more and more students got to go up and get help and practice the students outside of the platform were instructed to spread out and follow along if they could.

As I watched the students practice at the side I smiled softly, it reminded me of when the castle was first made. New uneducated witches and wizards poured in from all over Europe, Godric and Salazar took it upon themselves to hold daily training sessions where the students would learn combat.

Salazar wasn't the best at combat but he excelled in planning, he taught the students how to anticipate and read their enemy's next moves. I am not ashamed to say he even taught me some new things I hadn't considered.

As the students practiced I would throw out tips to the children near me, "Your wand is thinner than most angle it downward you can flick it easier," I said to a Gryffindor student who looked to be a seventh or sixth-year

He seemed alarmed at my suggestion as if he didn't know I was watching, "Uhh thanks, professor!"

When everyone seemed to be getting a basic understanding of the footwork Abara and Yowie decided to hold some practice duels.

"First we will have the second-year Stiles Marr from Gryffindor against the second-year student Kingsley Shacklebolt from Ravenclaw," Yowie announced garnering the attention of the crowd

The two students stood on the platform facing each other, they both performed the bow and turned begging to walk away from each other.

I was interested in this match because Stiles Marr was the student Marcus Note attacked, I wonder if that would affect his mentality during the duel?

Both turned and the duel began.

Stiles raised his wand, his voice steady and confident, "Glacius!" he directed his wand toward Kingsley, conjuring a stream of icy mist that swirled around his opponent, instantly coating the floor with a thin layer of frost.

Kingsley, quick on his feet, countered by casting "Wingardium Leviosa!" The purple carpet in the middle of the platform floated upward soaring through the air toward Stiles. Stiles seeing his vision was blocked, deftly cast the flame spell causing the rug to catch fire, but the distraction allowed Kingsley to get creative. He flicked his wand, summoning a small, bird with a much weaker version of the Avis spell. The dove swooped gracefully through the icy mist, and the ashes of the burnt rug.

Seeing the dove Stiles began to worry about what Kingsley was planning, With a swift movement of his wand, he cried, "Aqua Cinctura!" A ring of shimmering water encircled him, forming a barrier against Kingsley's charm spell. The dove that was now diving toward Stiles seemed to inflate *BOOM* the small dove exploded shattering the barrier.

Stiles ran from the side changing his position but Kingsley was also on the move, He cast "Lumos Solem," creating a radiant beam of light that pierced through the icy mist. The dazzling light was blinding, forcing Stiles to squint and lose his focus not a master of the new footwork Stiles tripped himself up.

raised his wand high Stiles bellowed, "Frigoris Tempestas!" A fierce blizzard swept through the dueling room, sending bone-chilling winds and snowflakes in all directions. Kingsley struggled to maintain his footing.

But just when it seemed Stiles had the upper hand, Kingsley flicked his wand in desperation, "Lumos Solem Maxima!" A blinding burst of light emanated from his wand, blinding Stiles and causing the cold to recede a fraction

"Stupefy!" Kingsley followed while Stiles was blinded

Stiles thrust his body to the side dodging the spell, countering Stiles yelled, "Expelliarmus!" pointing his wand in the direction Kingsley's voice was last heard

Kingsley went to dodge but his foot caught a slick sheet of ice causing him to trip into the spell, his wand went flying through the air ending the duel.

The crowd was silent.

The professors were gobsmacked.

I was intrigued.

"Holy shit," A soft voice broke through the crowd

Suddenly the Ravenclaws and Gryffidors both erupted in cheers, the winner didn't matter at this point.

This duel was far above a second-year student's capabilities.

"We were going to do more duels but that was simply amazing!" Abara's voice cut through the crowd

"Kinglsey, the way you used a simple spell like Lumos to counter and gain control of the duel was amazing, and Stiles your use of elemental spells which are high level at that was amazing. You dominated the platform!" Yowie praised

"I was inspired by Professor Abara," Kingsley said humbly

"Ice spells are much easier for me for some reason," Stiles said rubbing the back of his head

Well, I guess that answers the question of what the attack Marcus Note performed did.

These two students I will have to keep my eyes on.

I sat in Albus's office, a smile played on my lips as I met the man's gaze, "I told you this was a good idea, look at the talent this castle holds, with proper training they could become a force to be reckoned with,"

Albus sighed but it wasn't a tired sign but a happy one, a smile also formed on his face, "Morpheus, it pains me to say it but this idea of yours was brilliant, I never knew such talented students were under my nose, I look forward to seeing if there are any more,"

"I'm sure there will be, but talent isn't only found in the dueling arena. I have a couple of promising students in my class and I heard Severus is gifted with potions," I commented

"Oh? Do tell who you have your eyes on," Albus inquired

"Lovegood seems to be a promising talent, I will mentor him in his fourth year," I replied honestly

"Interesting, I did have a suspicion he would be good. There's another student Pandora who seems to be gifted in research and spell creation," Albus said giving me some of his own information

"Interesting, I don't think I've met this student," I replied

He laughed, "I'm not surprised, she is rather recluse. Speaking of talents Filius told me he has a promising student besides Kingsley,"

"Really?" I asked two students talented in charms is good

"Yes, he seems rather excited he forgot to tell me her name in his excitement but I know it's a female," Albus replied

"Well I should get back to grading, let's discuss soon, I will give you some information next time I'm still confirming some things," I said as I began to walk away

This alliance seems to be progressing nicely.
