17 'Duel part 1'

After leaving dumbledore office, edward didn't take any turn and directly went for his dorm.

As he reached the, he saw all the house members sitting and discussing about him. And also saw hermione eyes, which looked like she cried for some time.

"Hey guys! what are doing ganging up like the that, are you going to rescue me from dumbledores office or what. Looking at your statures, you are prepared for a rebelling on hogwarts huh?"

Hearing this sarcastic words, all the house members looked at edward and heaved a huge sigh of relief. All members faces started blooming like flowers that just bloomed.

"We thought, you will atleast get punished severely. But from the looks of it, the 'Punishment' looks like is not big huh?"

As the perfect of house, percy asked with a rare smile on his face. All members also nodded their heads indicating their worry.

"Why would they punish me, its me who is helping them to straighten the dampen rules. They should be happy you know?"

Edward also responded with a smile. But he knew, that this damn house is sometimes more crueler and colder than slytherin house and sometimes they will support with their full.

Looks like this time, they decided to support him with their full braveness without shrinking back.

Looking at ron and harry who was also smiling, edward said,

"You have duel to perform, next day early in the morning. So, be prepared for not losing face for house and me."

Edward said with a tone that made ron and harry shiver, to just think of losing.

"Hey! what have we got here. Looks like some one cried for someone!!"

As he said that he reached hermione and pinched her cheeks, making all the members in the house laugh out loud.

"That means, Professor dumbledore agreed for your request? Then do i also have a duel tomorrow, why did you only tell them?"

Hermione said with an embarrassed face, as this was the second action that edward took towards like spanking butt, last time. She knew, she was unable to retort to this action like last time and prepared to get it whenever edwards want to do it.

"Why should they not agree?They are more than happy to agree. Yes, you do have a duel tomorrow, so you also get prepared to not lose."

Edward said casually.

"Hmph!! Who would lose to him, we also learned all the spells that you have gave us."

Hermione retorted back fiercely.

"Also, be prepared for the change in the rules by school. I don't know when, but they will definitely going to change a lot of rules in hogwarts. My estimate should be in next two months, before Christmas."

Hearing this all of them surprised and thought there was much story to it than what edward said.

"Let's disperse for now!! I should train these dumb's a bit for tomorrow duel, no one wants them to lose right?"

Hearing this all of them cheered a bit for them and went on their ways. Edward also took three members near hagrid house.

When Harry knocked they heard a frantic scrabbling from inside and several booming barks. Then Hagrid's voice rang out, saying, "Back, Fang -- back. "

Hagrid's big, hairy face appeared in the crack as he pulled the door open.

"Hang on," he said. "Back, Fang. "

He let them in, struggling to keep a hold on the collar of an enormous black boarhound.

There was only one room inside. Hams and pheasants were hanging from the ceiling, a copper kettle was boiling on the open fire, and in the corner stood a massive bed with a patchwork quilt over it.

"Make yer selves at home," said Hagrid, letting go of Fang, who bounded straight at Ron and started licking his ears. Like Hagrid, Fang was clearly not as fierce as he looked.

"This is Ron, hermione and edward." Harry told Hagrid, who was pouring boiling water into a large teapot and putting rock cakes onto a plate.

"Another Weasley, eh?" said Hagrid, glancing at Ron's freckles.

"I spent half me life chasin' yer twin brothers away from the forest. Hermione right? I thoug' you also have duel tomorrow, professor dumbledore informed all the staff about tis just now."

After saying that, he looked at edward and said,

"Mr. edward, its an honor to make friends with an kimsely."

Saying that, he stretchered his hand for the shake, but took back after seeing edwards small hands, laughing out loud.

"Just call me edward, Uncle hagrid. Its nice to meet you too."

Hearing this courtesy from edward made hagrid surprised,but soon replaced with a laugh.

The rock cakes were shapeless lumps with raisins that almost broke their teeth, but Harry and Ron pretended to be enjoying them as they told Hagrid all about their first lessons. Fang rested his head on Harry's knee and drooled all over his robes. Hermione tried one of them but soon placed it back, while edward didn't even tried one.

"Let's start with your practice!! Tomorrow, you will absolutely need to win."

Saying that, they started practicing magic duels with edward until evening. Later they bid farewell to hagrid and straight out went to their dorm after eating.

Malfoy also received news about his duel from snape. He was fumed thinking a mudblood, a blood traitor and a puny survivor wants to duel with him. He with all the slytherin house members reached hagrids house early in the morning waiting for edwards group to come.

They didn't wait long, edward and his group along with all gryffindor house members came with smiles and jeers on their faces. Receiving this news, from their respective professors, almost all the campus students sorrounded that place.

All professors including dumbledore also came after 20 minutes.

"Whoever was going to duel first, come stand in front." Professor flitwick took referee post an announced.

Ron took this chance and stepped forward, malfoy also sneered at this and stepped forward on the other side.

"Don't use any spells to harm others severely! If you kill or harm other seriously, you will not only get expelled from hogwarts, you will also get a severe punishment from the school"

Professor flitwick said seriously.

Ron and malfoy both nodded, indicating they understood.

"Start"

Simple start is all that made the history of dueling in hogwarts.

Malfoy was the first one, to cast spell.

"Expelliramus"

Malfoy directly choose to knock ron's wand. But ron also fully prepared for this and said,

"Protego"

A form of shield created infront of ron and directly dispelled malfoys charm.

"Locomotor Mortis"(This spell will stick your legs stick together)

Malfoy was incensed by protego spell. He know that's a powerful spell, but its power will deviate, if we bombard it with multiple spells.

When malfoy was about to cast another spell, he heard ron's spell.

"Expelliramus"

With this spell ron directly knocked malfoys wand out of his hand. This should be the end of duel, but ron didn't stop there and used,

"Petrificus Totalous"

Ron used almost all of his magic on this spell, to make sure malfoy will be in binded state for atleast 5 minutes.

After making sure malfoy was bounded by his spell, ron directly fell on his back, as almost all the magic in him was used.

"Winner of this duel is Ron weasly of gryffindor house." Professor flitwick announced Loudly with a happy expression on his face.

While gryffindor house and other houses cheered for ron weasly, slytherin house members took the petrified malfoy to their side. Professor dumbledore and others also clapped for ron weasly.

"The next duel will start in 1 hour from now. As draco malfoy has used a bit of magic energy, he should rest for 1 hour, to make it a fair duel."

Professor flitwick said with much enthusiasm.
