18 Duel Part 2

Looking at the ron who collapsed on the ground, edward went forward and patted his shoulder with a smile on his face.

Ron looking at the bright smile on edward face, also smiled back at him. Then they again walked back to the crowd from gryffindor house.

As they reached gryffindor house, all the members of the house started cheering ron with bright smiles on their faces. Fred and george are also happy about his little brothers win over malfoy.

They both looked at each other, before walking towards ron and lifted him high up into the air. Seeing this scene, all the gryffindor house members also joined in the fun.

After a while the commotion calmed down and they waited for the next match with expectant eyes.

"Who wants to go next?"

Looking at hermione and harry, edward asked with a profound smile on his face.

"I will go next."

Just when harry is about to open his mouth, hermione said with a loud voice. Hearing this harry looked at her with a little resentment on his face.

Edward simply nodded his head. It didn't take long, before 1 hour time limit reached.

Malfoy also looked better as he came to the center where match is going to conduct. Edward also saw malfoy, who was radiating a bit of hatred in eyes.

"Professor flitwick, this time hermione is going to challenge malfoy."

As he informed flitwick of the next participant from his side. Hermione stepped forward and took the position with a wand on her hand ready to cast spell anytime. Malfoy was also standing with wand on is hand,

Seeing that two of them were ready, professor flitwick, simply said,

"Start."

"Expelliramus"

Hermione was not like ron, she simply used expelliramus spell without even bothering using protego.

Malfoy, who was starting himself to cast a big spell thinking that hermione will also use protego. Suddenly, the wand i his hand was knocked by some external force, making his face turned blue with anger.

Seeing that, malfoy is going for his hand. Hermione didn't waste much time and said,

"Wingardium Leviosa"

Hermiones spell directly casted on malfoys wand making it to hover high into the air. Seeing that malfoy is unable to use spells anymore, professor flitwick announced his result.

"Winner of this duel is Hermione granger from gryffindors house."

Professor flitwick loudly announced, malfoy who has already lost once from ron hands, started spewing fire from his eyes. This didn't went unnoticed by edward.

Hermione, who used hovering spell on malfoys wand released his wand and turned back to gryffindors house with wide smile on her face.

Malfoy who was seething in anger, after catching his wand looked at hermione with vicious gaze.

"You filthy mudblood."

"Lacarnum Inflamari" [Spell that set one's clothes on flames]

Suddenly, malfoy went berserk with this shame caused by hermione. He can atleast accept ron defeating him, as ron also a pureblooded magician. But, he will never accept it from hermione, neither of her parents are magicians.

All the people in that place suddenly went alarmed by malfoys viciousness. Professor flitwick wanted to protect hermione from the spell, but couldn't reach her in time.

As all of them thought, hermione is going to suffer from that spell. Suddenly a figure came beside and deflected the spell from her path.

Edward who was watching malfoy from the start knows that he was upto something. He has been preparing to help hermione, whenever something goes wrong. As malfoy lifted his wand, edward already moved towards hermione with wand on his hand.

"Diffindo"

Edward, who had already deflected that spell from hermione, didn't wait anymore and used his most powerful offensive spell on his hand. He was sheeting in anger, malfoy dared to harm of one of his friends. He didn't stop it there,

"Diffindo"

He again used diffindo spell on malfoy. Malfoy suddenly fell on the ground with a lot of blood gushing out from his right hand and chest.

First time edward casted that spell, he didn't think much and directly used it on malfoy causing a huge gash on malfoy's chest. But, next time, he used it to make a cut on the arm which he used his wand to cast spell on hermione.

As edward was about to use another spell 'Alarte Ascendare' on malfoy. A figure came and stood beside malfoy with a apologizing face.

It was Severus snape, head of house slytherin. He knew, it was their fault, but he was still the head of slytherin house and couldn't let anymore damage to his fame.

This was all happened, Very Quickly. While edward is punishing malfoy, all the students dumbfounded into silence. After coming out of their stupor, they started clamoring abou this incident loudly.

Seeing that snape came to stand beside malfoy, edward looked at him for a while before nodding his head at him and turned back to see hermione, who was dumbfounded by this incident.

"Are you okay?"

Edward asked her with a bit of concern in his voice.

Hearing this, hermione came out of her daze and looked at edward with a smile and nodded.

Professor dumbledore, who has been staying silent all the time, suddenly instructed all of them to return to their houses immediately.

Slytherin house members also took malfoy for treatment. As they moved, they all glared at edward with vicious eyes.

"If he even tried to hurt my friends once more. Tell him to prepare a coffin before hand. A thing like that, actually dared to harm my friends huh?"

Edward also viciously announced his intentions to all the slytherins. Hearing this not only slytherin students, but also other students stupefied.

He was actually threatening them that he is going to kill malfoy openly... All of them subconsciously looked at professor dumbledore, but they found it hard to believe. That professor dumbledore is actually acting like he didn't even heard those words.

All of them gasped and a bit of fear started to root into their hearts. They all subconsciously believed a single sentence in their minds.

NO matter what happen, they shouldn't stand on the bad side of this Little demon.

After all the students went on their way to their dorms. Only heads of houses and professor dumbledore stood with hagrid.

"This little fellow is giving me a lot of head ache you know?"

Professor dumbledore said to others.

They didn't respond to his question, but there was a smile formed on their faces.
