6 The Professor part 1.

Severus Snape first impression of Harry Potter is that he look like a carbon copy of his father, Severus very own archenemy, the late James Potter. On second look, Potter have her mother green eyes, which reminded Severus of his first love, Lily Evans. But, the way Potter held himself did not resemble either of his birth parents. Potter did not look arrogant like his father, nor he is curious like his mother.

Harry Potter might be a Hufflepuff, but he felt cold and distant. It's like he is living in his own world, at his own pace, and that other's is insignificant. That is if he's alone.

Currently, Harry Potter will always be seen indulge his little friend, the brunette with gray eyes, Iris Swan. It's no secret to the Hufflepuff first year that both have a close sibling like relationship. So close they could almost passed as real sibling, with a little differrent physical features.

Albus have managed to corner him to look at the background of the long lost Swan family, where Iris came from. Surprisingly, it look clean. Albeit a bit short. Not follower of the Dark Lord, no dark upbringing.

Iris Swan is the only known descendant of the Swan family line. Her parents are unknown. She live in America with her old buttler / nanny before came to Hogwarts. Her acceptance letter is apparently an old letter from the previous Headmaster, who's already deceased, granting the Heir of the Swan family a place in Hogwarts.

How Swan get to know Potter is unclear.

Potter is supposed to lived with his aunt Petunia Dursley in muggle Surrey, but he's not there. Petunia said she never met baby Harry. Severus who is accompanied Albus Dumbledore to come give the boy his Hogwarts letter watch silently as Albus face turned pale.

They get back at Hogwarts to try tracking the boy, when a brown owl came bearing his acceptance letter. And that he won't be available till almost the start of the school because he's not in England.

Come to think of it, maybe both of them got to know each other in America 🤔.

Severus Snape put his gaze back at Potter who looking back at him with a twitch in his mouth, like he's trying hard not to laugh.

"..Sir? Professor Snape?"

Severus move his gaze to the source of the voice. The Ravenclaw first year cowered in her seat under the gaze. "Try not to speak too much and focus on your work." He said.

The bell ring. Almost everyone breath sign of relief. "Class is dismissed." Severus wave his hand, the black board in front of the class clean itself. Their bubbling cauldron get clean too. A couple unfortunate students who didn't get to bottled their potion slumped to the floor.

Iris put her little cough potion bottle on the Professor desk. Harry following behind her. Severus narrowed his eyes at Harry but keep mum. The other first year follow them, in hurry to get out of the class.

Iris looking back at the potion classroom, "He's funny." she said to Harry.

"He's thinking about us." Harry laughed, he can see what Snape is thinking about clearly on his face.

Iris snorted, walk slower, then in a hushed voice asked, "You think to get him involve?"

"Can't decide now." answer Harry. "We'll see after this one."

Snape's loyalty to Harry is due to his life debt to James Potter, but his real loyalty to the dark or light side is a bit blurry. Snape will always try to save his own ass first, at last that's what Harry used to think. Now, he have to tread carefully.

Dark side. Light side. What different did this made when they all have magic in their hands. Harry sighed. For now what he's going to do next will defenitely label him as Dark Wizard. Oh, well, whatever. He's always the Hero of the Light before. This time he will take gamble and goes with what Iris told him. To make a better Magical World. To stop this never ending circle of life.

"What you guys doing?" Justin bellowed them up-front, "We'll be late, come quick."

Iris and Harry fastened their step. Their next class is Defense Against the Dark Arts.
