5 School House.

There was weird feeling when the students see Theodore Nott, whose father is a known Death Eater, loyal follower of the Dark Lord, seated in the Hufflepuff table. The feeling is nothing compare to seeing Harry Potter, vanquisher of said Dark Lord, sit next to him.

The grandfatherly figure on the teachers table stood, "I am Professor Dumbbledore, headmaster of our school. Welcome and welcome back to Hogwarts, to our new and older students. The Forbidden Forest is like it name, forbidden and the corridor on the third floor is off limit this year according to our caretaker, Mr.Filch." He make eyes contact to the students around. "Now, dig in."

The students cheered. Food appeared magically in the tables in front of them. Iris who managed to get herself sit across Harry, sosializing herself with the other first year. She met and greeted Hannah Abbot and her best friend Susan Bones, muggleborn Justin Finch-fletchey and prim looking Ernie Macmillan.

Iris is so busy with herself, she forgot to put food on her plate. Harry sighed. He put some food then pushed the plate to Iris. Iris smile at him, spooning some of the food to her mouth.

Hannah, who seated next to Iris look at them, "Did you guys know each other?"

"Oh, we meet at Diagon Alley. Hit it off and decide to be brothers forever." Iris said with flat face. Hannah gawked at Iris.

"You're a girl," said Ernie, perplexed, "you guys can't be brothers."

"I know that, it's just mean that we're like long lost sibling, right Harry?" Iris wiggle her eyebrow.

"Right." Harry agreed easily. The other just shook their head then continued with desserts.

After a while, the Headmaster stood once again. "Tomorrow is the first day school, everybody need their rest early. Bip bip." He nodded to his fellow professor then walked out of the Great Hall. The students disband.

"First year, come here." A nice looking guy called to them. Harry, Iris and their new friends walk over to the guy. "My name is Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff Prefect, if you guys need anything, you can come and find me. Now, follow me to our dormitory." then he walk away, the first year hot on his heels.

Iris looking a little too long at Cedric. Harry nudge her, "Did you drool?" he asked.

"Course not." Iris fake pouted, linked her hand with Harry, "come on."

Harry is feeling awkward with their joined hands. He's been spending his life trying not to get too attached to others, but this little girl just seems too easily twisting her way in to his life like she's always there at the first place. It's scary. Harry can't imagine starting over again, with Iris not remembering him.

Iris tugged at Harry's, "Come on."

Harry follow Iris, contemplating, "Say, if worst came to happen, and I start over, will you still remember me?"

Iris stop walking, turn to look at Harry, "Yes." she said, "And I'll find you, and I'll strangle you for failed at the first place. And then you'll die. And I will find you and strangle you again."

"Okay."

The entrance of their common room is located in a corridor where a pile of large barrels to be found, stacked in a shadowy stone recess on the right-hand side of the corridor. The barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open if tapped in the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff'.

As a security device to repel non-Hufflepuffs, Cedric Diggory told them that tapping on the wrong barrel, or tapping the incorrect number of times will results in one of the other lids bursting off and drenching the interloper in vinegar.

A sloping, earthy passage inside the barrel travels upwards a little way until a cosy, round, low-ceilinged room is revealed, reminiscent of a badger's sett. The room is decorated in the cheerful, bee-like colours of yellow and black, emphasised by the use of highly polished, honey-coloured wood for the tables and the round doors which lead to the boy's and girl's dormitories.

A colourful profusion of plants and flowers seem to relish the atmosphere of the Hufflepuff common room. It's actually feel warm, just like home. A portrait over the wooden mantelpiece shows Helga Hufflepuff, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School, toasting her students with a tiny, two-handled golden cup. Small, round windows just level with the ground at the foot of the castle show a pleasant view of rippling grass and flowers, and, occasionally, passing feet.*

Iris and Harry part way after their head of house, plump, nice looking Professor Pomona Sprout, the Herbology teacher told them all the basic welcome and what not.
