Chapter 520: A Terrible Nightmare

In class, Moody watched as Ivan stood still, believing that his Imperius Curse had succeeded. He had successfully controlled Ivan and could order him to do anything. He didn't even feel any resistance.

Everything was going extraordinarily well, his heart was filled with ecstasy and he couldn't even believe it.

He had thought Ivan would fight against his invasion; he had thought he would not succeed without exerting all his strength.

After all, this boy was outstanding in every way and could not be underestimated.

Moody had tried to make Ivan look foolish, but now that Ivan was completely under control, he suddenly realized that this was a rare opportunity, and decided to take a look at the secrets in the boy's head.

Even though this might expose him, it was a rare opportunity.

Moody looked into Ivan's eyes. He raised his wand and said, "Legeremen!"

The image in front of the eyes is rapidly changing. The huge body of the evil spirit appeared, twisted and ugly. It floated in the air, and its mouth slowly opened, with green mucus inside, full of black fangs, and endless horrors.

Before he could understand what he had seen, the boy drew his wand at the highest speed.

"Protego!" shouted Ivan.

Moody staggered, took a step back, fell to the ground, and his wand flew.

The next second, Ivan's mind was filled with strange memories.

It was an endless abyss, surrounded by black stones, stacked in uneven layers, and at the top was endless darkness.

Soon, as his eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness, he realized that there was something there.

It was a huge alien-like monster, like a mixture of the world's most terrifying creatures.

It was dark purple in color, composed of piles of rotting flesh. The middle part was a humanoid creature, not clearly visible. One could only vaguely identify that the upper part was densely covered with barnacle-like objects, with irregular goosebumps inducing holes, one after another.

A little higher up was its brightly colored orange hair, like the body hair of a venomous spider....

A stout, white bone-like spine extended downward, centered on a twisted, grotesque torso that extended in all directions.

Ivan saw many of the familiar features of magical animals, but it was all deceptive, as if someone had cut up the bodies of hundreds of magical animals and then inadvertently pieced the pieces of flesh together.

This definitely made for the worst "artwork" ever, a grotesque monster of a nightmare that could easily steal the sleep of anyone who saw it.

For example, the limb that extended closest to the middle and top was a basilisk-like body that stretched endlessly. One could vaguely see something like the head of a dry fire dragon looming in the darkness.

The basilisk's body was no longer covered with beautiful dark green scales, but with wrinkled purple muscular textures.

Every few feet, there was a quivering, crawling blue or yellow tumor that looked like it was about to snap open at any moment.

There seemed to be something hidden inside them, something that couldn't wait to run away.

Ivan didn't know what the fake Moody had been through.

Why did he have the memory of this terrible alien creature in his mind? Did such a thing really exist in this world?

Maybe it was a new evil spirit, because they all seemed so crazy and indescribable.

Just as Ivan was immersed in the horror of this creature, a powerful magic suddenly spread.

He was very familiar with this magical wave; he had seen it many times. It was the unique power of vampires.

The fake Moody before him was Caresius, no doubt.

Ivan blinked and the image disappeared. It was expelled from Caresius' memory.

In front of him, Caresius fell to the ground, holding his wand and pointing it at him, panting heavily. His body was trembling slightly and his face was pale.

"Good, very good!" his voice said hoarsely, both eyes looking at Ivan.

The students around them were all stunned, and their little faces were equally pale and full of horror and surprise.

They did not know what had just happened. They only saw that Ivan, who had been "under control," suddenly pulled out his wand, and then Moody was thrown backwards and his wand was tossed aside.

They didn't understand what was happening, could it be that Moody's curse had failed and he was defeated by Ivan?!

They were very surprised as they watched in disbelief at what was happening in front of them.

Whether they believed it or not, that had actually happened. They could even conclude directly that Ivan was stronger than Moody. Yes! HE HAD DEFEATED MOODY!

Although Ivan was now famous, what happened today was enough to add to his legend!

The triumph of a 13-year-old wizard over the best Auror in the Ministry of Magic should be the hottest topic at Hogwarts, and perhaps in the British Wizarding Community!

Only Ivan himself knew that he did not defeat Caresius by force.

At last, Caresius exploded with great power, giving him a lingering fear. This man was only blinded by his Occlumency, thinking he had controlled him with the Imperius curse. He greedily used Legeremancy to probe Ivan's memories, revealing his flaws. And Ivan seized the opportunity to successfully counterattack with a single blow.

It is said that greed is the original sin. What's more, it was he who kept repeating "CONSTANT SURVEILLANCE".

"Very well, Mr. Mason successfully resisted the Imperius curse, and defeated it completely," Moody said, stumbling to his feet, "They can ask him about the experience, so he won't easily control you."

The rest of the time passed in a strange atmosphere, the classroom was quiet and no one was talking.

Moody sat in the chair next to the desk, looking at Ivan, as if he was thinking about something.

The other young wizards didn't dare ask questions. They all looked down and seemed to be recording the three Unforgivable Curses, but in reality they were passing small notes, occasionally raising their heads in astonishment to look at Ivan and Moody, and then quickly lowering their heads.

Ivan was thinking about the monster he had just seen, what was it?

It wasn't until the bell rang and Moody announced that he would be leaving class that everyone started talking again.

"How did he do that?"

"Did you see that? Ivan beat Moody - that's amazing!"

"Moody's Imperius Curse had no effect on Ivan. He's the strongest, even stronger than the dark wizards."

"Ivan should be the Hogwarts champion. He is the one who should represent the school in the Triwizard Tournament. I can think of no one more qualified than him!"

"But he's under seventeen."

"He must have a way to break Dumbledore's restrictions..."

The discussion continued, and Ivan wasn't listening. He and the equally excited Colin left the classroom.

The news spread as the students who participated in the class left, and soon, everyone in the castle would hear about it.
