Chapter 152: Tom and Jerry

A green glow erupted from the tip of Ivan's wand, but then immediately disappeared.

Pettigrew looked at the wand in his hand. He could feel it resisting him, and his magic wasn't working.

"Damn it, even a bloody wand despises me!", Peter shouted, covering the wand with both hands, and gathering all his mana into it.

He wanted to force it to kill its master.

But at that moment, he felt a horrible, unfamiliar mana returning to him from the wand.

Pettigrew stopped. He was frightened. His eyes widened like never before and he looked down at the wand in his hand. He couldn't believe that he actually felt a force comparable to the Dark Lord's coming from it, almost bringing him to his knees.

"This isn't possible, what is this wand?!", Peter Pettigrew looked up in horror hoping to get an answer from Ivan.

But he saw nothing but a dazzling white light coming at him, like a flash of lightning.

It was Ivan's wandless spell!

Pettigrew closed his eyes and howled in pain, he felt like he had been blinded.

Ivan took the opportunity to jump on him. He didn't know why Peter stopped using the Killing Curse. But that was a window he gladly took. He grabbed Peter's arm that held the wand and put all his strength into snatching it away. The two struggled silently, and as flashs flew from the wand, Peter's hand reached for Ivan's throat.

Since magic didn't work, he decided to kill the boy in an even more brutal way.

With a bang, the office door opened again and Harry and Hermione rushed in.

"Harry, Hermione!" shouted Ivan.

"Ivan, we're here!" Hermione, with tears in her eyes, panicked as she looked at the two of them tangled on the floor, and looked sadly at the injured and bruised Ivan.

She waved her wand and used magic to separate them.

A red light hit Peter, who left Ivan and flew backwards.

"You dirty traitor, let go of Ivan, let go of Ron..." Next to Hermione, Harry also waved his wand. Compared to Hermione's panic and distress, Harry's eyes were filled with rage. He lashed out furiously at Peter Pettigrew, and several red lights landed on Peter's body and some grazed him.

Pettigrew gasped, dodging on the ground.

He wanted to fight back, but from the moment the wand didn't obey him because he wanted to kill Ivan, fear gripped his heart, as he didn't know what kind of magic was coming out of Ivan's wand.

He was very frightened. He couldn't face the three of them alone, and he didn't understand why Harry and Hermione were here. They should be in the Gryffindor common room, helplessly and despairingly watching Sirius get caught by Snape.

But they were both here, so something unexpected must have happened.

Maybe it was that Ron didn't find Snape, or maybe Snape didn't believe him. In short, since they were both here, Black should follow them soon.

As soon as he thought of Black, Pettigrew became nervous and nearly choked.

He couldn't believe that the plan he had been working on for so long failed. He had to run away. He couldn't let that madman Black catch him. Knowing him, once he got his hands on him, he would tear him to pieces.

"No!" Peter shouted very loudly.

Before Black arrived, he must take the opportunity to escape, just as he had twelve years ago.

Pettigrew threw Ivan's wand aside. He rolled to dodge Harry's next attack. His body quickly deformed and shrank. He turned into a rat under Harry and Hermione's panicked eyes.

Ivan grabbed his wand and rushed to send a stun spell at Peter. However, the size of the Rat was too small. It moved easily around the curse, and went straight past the furious Harry. At his fastest speed, he ran out of Professor Lupin's office.

Ivan quickly put his wand around his waist and lunged at Pettigrew.

He turned into a black cat and made a beautiful arc through the air. Peter ran out of the office. Ivan heard Harry and Hermione shouting behind him, but he ignored all that now. His mind was blank, and the only thought inside him was to catch Pettigrew.

Peter and Ivan, a gray rat and a black cat.

The two, one chasing the other, began an unprecedented chase through Hogwarts castle.

They passed through the narrow, dark corridors, past the shifting staircases and arrived at the Grand Main Staircase. Peter Pettigrew was very familiar with the secret passages of the castle. More than once, he would suddenly disappear in front of Ivan's eyes. But that was useless. Ivan followed him with the help of the tracking potion.

Pettigrew glanced at Ivan from time to time. He couldn't imagine the young man being an Animagus.

He couldn't imagine being captured by Ivan. He had just admitted everything and the boy would hand him over to Black. Or worse, he could hand him directly to the terrifying Dementors outside.

'What awaits me is a Dementor's kiss!', At the thought of that, Pettigrew felt devastated and had to escape, but he couldn't get rid of Ivan.

But at that moment, on the staircase to the second floor, Peter suddenly stopped. He could feel something approaching, and he shivered back a few steps. He saw a large, shaggy, black dog suddenly run out of the dark corner.

It was Black!!!

Peter looked up at the fangs, and his red eyes looked back at him. Behind Black, was ginger-colored Crookshanks.

"NO!" At the sight of Black, Peter let out an unprecedented scream.

All the fur on his rat-like body stood up. He ran faster than ever, running down the stairs and not back into the hallway.

He couldn't stay in the castle. He was going to the Forbidden Forest. That was his only hope of escape.

Just as Peter was about to exit the castle door, a white light, like a barrier, suddenly appeared.

Ivan was surprised to see Pettigrew flying backwards.

How could that be?!

Ivan hurriedly turned his head and blinked. Behind a curtain, he saw an unexpected figure.
