Harry Potter and the Fortunate Queen

“You will hear many of his Death Eaters claiming that they are in his confidence, that they alone are close to him, even understand him. They are deluded. Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one,” Dumbledore told Harry Potter with absolute certainty. But what if Voldemort did have a friend? Not just a friend but the friend? A millennia-old wizard, who learned the secret of Hogwarts from the great Four founders, and had his own goals to take over the world? To stop that ancient wizard, an ancient power is called upon . . . in the form of a girl. A Muggle-born at that. Christina Norton has powers beyond anyone's imagination but she is too caught up in the Chosen One Harry Potter's life and catastrophes. But as she starts to uncover the plans of Voldemort, she realizes someone else is working with him. Someone who wants her dead. Why? She doesn't know. She just knows she has to save her loved ones and Hogwarts from Malgino and for that she is ready to go to the end of the world. And fight whoever comes in her way. Warning: It was my first book, so the first volume is going to be a bumpy ride. Things start to change at the end of the second volume, so if you can hang in there till then, welcome. Disclaimer: I neither own the original Harry Potter book series (I mean y'all already know that but still) nor the book cover (I guess I edited it but it doesn't count). Raining Spells

For a moment, Rosaline didn't recognize Chris but as soon as Chris met her eyes, she felt Chris's familiar energy and aura. Relief washed over Rosaline just for a split second and she yelled at Chris,

"Take Sol away! They are here for him! Please! Now!"

Chris wasn't surprised at how quickly Rosaline recognized her but she was surprised at the fear on Rosaline's face. She had never seen Rosaline so desperate and afraid. But of course, the mother was worried about her son more than her life.

Chris's eyes swept over the scene before him. Graham was standing over Rosaline, who looked weak and injured. The other wizard was the blond one, who was under little Sol and was getting hit and burnt — for some reason. And Ethan, who looked furious by Chris, had barely a scratch from her blast.

"You are harvesting witches now, Rosa?" Ethan sneered as he got up from where Chris had blasted him. "But do you really think she is going to stop us?"

"With pleasure," Chris announced through gritted teeth and clenched her wand tightly.

"Finish her off, Graham," Ethan ordered as he walked towards Sol to separate him from the Minion.

"Ginny, Luna, Colin, grab Oziyat and come to the Palace Garden, immediately. Rosaline is badly injured," Chris informed through her talisman but she didn't have time to listen to the response as Graham threw the killing curse at her.

Chris dogged successfully and jumped towards Sol and the blond minion, who grabbed Sol by the hair and was trying to throw him off.

"William! That's my son, you are hurting!" Ethan roared angrily but before he could reach his son, Chris had yanked the dagger from her belt and stabbed the blond William on his right thigh, followed by a roundhouse kick on his face. The next second, she snatched Sol from him and hide him behind her.

"It's ok, Sol. I'm here. No one will take you. Not even your Dad," Chris said glaring at Ethan and Graham. Hearing her Sol didn't hesitate even for a moment, he hugged Chris's waist, trembling. He knew it was Chris.

"You bitch!" Ethan grumbled before throwing the killing curse towards Chris again and again, furiously.

Chris dodged and blocked while hiding Sol with his body. Graham tried to join Ethan in attacking Chris, but Rosaline's magic caught him. Rosaline tried to hold him off with mind control.

Chris and Ethan's magic clashed. He attacked, she dodged, and she attacked, he dodged looking very surprised at Chris's powerful spells. But for Chris, it was getting harder and harder to dodge Ethan's curses and hide Sol behind her.

"Sol!" Chris whispered as she counter-attacked Ethan. "Listen to me and do as I say. Run inside and find Guardian Javier or Aiden or any Guardian." Chris dodged another curse. "Inform them about Rosaline's injury and send them here. You stay inside until everything settles. Did you hear me?"

But no answer came from Sol. Chris blocked another attack from Ethan and threw two powerful spells back to back to distract him for a while. But Ethan had become a great dueler from the last time they fought. Ethan didn't give her the time to look back, he quickly evaded and blasted back.

"Sol? Sol!" Chris hissed as she dodged another jet of red light. But there was no answer.

Chris couldn't look back because Ethan was firing on spells nonstop, so she looked at Rosaline ahead of her to catch her eyes or anything but she wasn't looking good either. Graham was almost out of Rosaline's mind control and Rosaline was very weak. Blood was still seeping from her wounds and she was tired from using all her magic and — with a jolt, Chris realized, — the sun. The Sun was draining Rosaline and with all of this, she could barely keep her eyes open.

Chris's heart twisted in a knot.

Graham was finally free from Rosaline's magic and he joined Ethan to attack Chris. They were advancing on her and she backed up a little bit. Fighting two highly trained wizards were getting difficult. Dangerous spells after spells were raining down upon her from two sides, Chris swerved out of the way, created shields to block the spells, and finally got a glance at Sol. He was lying on the floor behind her, unconscious.

Chris cursed loudly and fired a string of dark spells.

"Hell! Who is she, Ethan?" Graham swore and jumped out of the way of Chris's spells.

Ethan didn't reply. He looked as confused and surprised as Graham, but he hastily masked it with anger.

The duel became faster and faster, their wands were flashing like swords, sparks were flying from their wand-tips. Some of Chris's spells caught Ethan and Graham and slowed them a little. On the other hand, some of their spells hurt Chris as well.

Chris knew she needed help. She never thought she would admit it. But she needed help or something could happen to Rosaline or Sol.

"Ginny! Colin! Luna! I need help! Now!" Chris almost shouted through her talisman.

"We are almost there, Chris!" Ginny's voice came. "Just hold on a few moments. The situation is bad outside. The vampires are losing strength in the sun. And the remaining wizards are taking advantage of it. There are very few of the wizards left but they are winning."

"I know! Gin, Rosaline is bleeding out in sun. She is looking bad and Sol is unconscious." Chris explained fast. "And I am fighting Ethan and Graham. Alone."

"Oh shit!" Chris heard Ginny swearing and then everything was silent.

"Gin? Damnit, Gin!" Chris repeated and taking the opportunity of her distraction, Ethan knocked Chris to the ground. Her wand flew out of her hand and Chris landed on her back.

Chris tried to get up but Ethan instantly raised his wand and bind her. Chris's arms and legs snapped together and she fell over back again.

"Graham, pick up my son and I will end this stupid girl," Ethan instructed casually leaning over Chris. He smiled at her. "Not so sure anymore, are you, girl? You shouldn't have gotten between us. Now tell me, who are you before I kill you."

While Ethan was talking, Graham moved towards Sol and Rosaline shouted,

"Sol! Get up! Sol!"

But Sol didn't hear his mother. He was still unconscious.

"Shut up, you filthy bloodsucker," Ethan barked back at Rosaline, and Chris freed herself from the bind and slightly raised her arm to stop Graham. But at that very moment, Ethan scoffed and pulled out his silver dagger. Rosaline's eyes showed the pain and resentment she felt at that moment.

"Just die, why don't you? Don't worry about Sol, Rosa. I will take care of my son and make him the greatest wizard of all time, after master, of course." Ethan marched towards Rosaline raising the stake. He looked dangerous as a predatory grin spread on his face. "And soon I will wipe out all his memories of you and my son will have a powerful life ahead. See, it's better for Sol. You are a horrible mother, anyway."

Chris's blood boiled at Ethan's words.

"Fuck this!"

She jumped up and pulled another wand from her pocket, Dumbledore's wand.

"I told you, Ethan. Do not come for the people I care about. I told you and Malgino, again and again, that it won't end well for you, didn't I?" Chris growled raising the wand and Ethan turned to her. He frowned as he realized who was he fighting till now. There was only one witch who had such power and confidence to challenge his master.

"You — Christina No—?"

"Avada Kedavra!"

A jet of green light shot from the end of Chris's wand and hit Ethan straight on his chest. He froze then fell to the ground, lifeless.

Without waiting, Chris whirled towards Graham, who was so shocked by the sudden turn of events that he failed to attack Chris quickly.

"You are — you are—"

"Avada —" Chris pointed her wand at Graham but he jumped back and Disapparated.

Chris glared at the place where Graham was standing just now, but she immediately remembered Rosaline and ran to her.

"Rosaline!" Chris kneeled in front of her. "You need to go inside. Can you get up?"

"Lady Christina, I couldn't thank you enough, I —" Rosaline's choked on her words, and her voice became faint.

"Don't, let's go inside first. I'll help you," Chris supported Rosaline carefully and tried to lift her from the ground. It wasn't easy but neither Rosaline nor Chris gave up. After a lot of struggling, they finally reached the shed and Chris lowered Rosaline on the bench as she couldn't walk anymore.

"I will bring someone to help you," Chris told Rosaline. "Don't move. I will be back soon."

"Christina, please." Rosaline stopped her. "Bring Sol to me please."

"Yes, sorry," Chris ran back ignoring her light injuries and picking up unconscious Sol from the ground, she carried him back to Rosaline.

Rosaline ran her bloody hand over his son's head. She smiled in a way, Chris had never seen her smile. It was a smile mixed with the mother's pain but her relief to see her son alive.

"He showed signs of magic today. I am so proud of him. He burned the tall one," Rosaline mumbled as tears streamed down her face.

"Rosaline I should —" Chris began but was interrupted again.

"Sister! Christina!" Oziyat came running towards them, followed by Gweneth, Ginny, Colin, and a very battered-looking Luna.
