Chapter 6: King’s Cross Station.

Liam returned to leaky cauldron where Snape was waiting for Liam to come back. Just as he entered the leaky cauldron he heard a sneer, "Took you long enough".

Liam tried to explain the reason why he was late, "Well It took time finding the right wand…" but Snape was not in the mood to hear any excuses.

"Let's not waste any more time, let's go back".

After returning back to the orphanage, Liam went straight to bed after dinner, he was very tired and the sickness of apparating from the second time had not faded.

Liam noticed while having dinner that Luke was not as energetic as he used to be. Luke was definitely not feeling good. He had something going in his mind that he didn't say.

As he was lying on his bed Luke walked towards his bed and said, "Liam are you going to leave the orphanage" he said in a weak tone.

Liam now understood what was going on in Luke's mind. Luke was worried that he was going to leave him alone in the orphanage. Liam who seemed like he was sleeping was actually awake turned and sat straight, he saw a cute 7 year old boy in front of him trying to hold back his tears. He comforted Luke, "I am just going to school, I may not be around for a while but you need to stay strong."

Small tears started coming out of Luke's eyes, "So you are going to leave me" Cried Luke.

Liam in a soft voice comforted, "No you dummy, didn't I just say I am just going to school I will be back every holidays."

Luke's sobbed, "Really, you promise" he looked Liam with innocent eyes.

Liam patted his head, "I promise". Luke stopped crying and went back towards his bed to sleep. Mrs. Cole who had witnessed all this from behind the door came to Liam after Luke had left. She was proud of the boy she had raised. She moved her hands on Liam's head gracefully with love, Liam felt the warmth that a mother shows to her child.

"Liam if you ever need any help you can tell me. I would help you with best of my abilities." Mrs. Cole said in a gentle tone.

Liam fell asleep in Mrs. Cole's embrace. It was the best sleep he had ever had. As being from another world he never felt as much attachment to anyone as much as he felt now. It was only now that he had started to get a feeling of attachment to this world.

In his previous life he had parents but both were busy struggling to sort out their marriage. They never paid any attention to him, as a child he never felt the love of a mother nor a father.

Now he has a loving mother and a younger brother which he never wants to lose.

In the dark just outside the orphanage, a dark figure was talking to a hooded figure.

"Today Severus Snape came to the orphanage, it was an unexpected visit. The concealment spell had kept away the owl even I didn't notice that the owl was there. I removed the concealment spell just as he arrived so that he didn't get suspicious of anything. Nor did he notice that there was even a concealment spell." Explained the dark figure.

The hooded figure who was listening attentively sighed, "This was a close call If Severus Snape even had a slightest bit of doubt Dumbledore may have investigated us. We have to be vigilant."

The dark figure nodded. Both said in unison "For the greater good".

September 1, King's Cross Station, Platform 9.

Months passed by with a flash, and came the day of Liam's departure to Hogwarts. Liam came to the King's Cross Station with Mrs. Cole, Luke also wanted to come with them but Mrs. Cole didn't allow it. Liam promised Luke that he would send him letters every month.

Liam took out his ticket it read 'Platform 9 and ¾' Liam already knew where the platform was. Mrs. Cole wanted to accompany Liam to the train but Snape had already told him that muggles can't enter the platform, because of this reason Mrs. Cole had to leave unwillingly.

Liam walked toward the platform 9 and ½, there were many wizard families entering through the wall to platform 9 and 3/4.

He mustered up his courage and ran towards the wall with full speed. Just as he crossed the wall he saw a huge train, there were many young wizard like him entering the train, parents saying their goodbye's to their children.

Liam felt a bit lonely but he put his luggage away, and entered the train. As he had entered early there were many compartments empty. The other students had already made friends with others. He sat in his compartment alone waiting for the train to leave.

He knew that the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione was going to meet for the first time, but he had no intention of messing with the plot of the story as they would cause unforeseen circumstances. Even a slightest change can cause butterfly effect which may change the future events a lot. The only advantage he has is the knowledge of the future which he can't lose just because he wanted to live his fantasy of being with the main trio.

Liam had made a plan to survive till seven years in which harry will defeat Voldemort and then only he will act freely with his own accords. This is if things go according to plan but if he gets involved with the trio for any reason he needs to be prepared.

The train started moving, he was sitting in his compartment alone lost in his own thoughts.

'At least I have this strong wand, I don't know how strong this wand is but just a strong wand won't be enough, Dumbledore was able to defeat Grindlewald who at that time had the elder wand. He at least needs to be as strong as that maybe even that is not enough as Dumbledore didn't face Voldemort head on even with the elder wand. I don't have the luck of harry, in each and every dangerous situations he was only able to survive because of his enormous luck without ever needing much strength. Harry potter defeated Voldemort in the end because of luck as well.'

As he was thinking this someone came to the door of his compartment, it was a pair of two girls wearing the school robe. One of the girls was blond, light skinned skinny girl who looked like she hated everything. With her was a girl of the same height, her hairs and eyes were black, eyes were big and her skin was snow white. She looked like an innocent angle who had fallen from heaven.

Liam blushed but he didn't let it slip that he was blushing. He already knew who the blond haired girl was just by looking at her demeanor and body language. The blond girl was Daphne Greengrass. But he couldn't identify the girl next to her.

"Hey, is this seat taken" Asked Daphne
