Chapter 4: The Boy who lived.

Mrs. Cole looked towards Liam and asked, "Liam are you sure you want to go to Hogwarts? You do know that you can get in any one of the top schools in London right. I haven't even heard the name of Hogwarts before."

Liam was in a bad spot, he thought 'How can I explain to it her without revealing that I am a wizard'. He looked towards Snape but he was sipping his tea like he had nothing to do with him.

'Aren't you supposed to explain this stuff? Why is my luck so bad?'

He sighed and replied, "Mrs. Cole you don't know but only few special people can get admission into Hogwarts. It's the best school in London. It would be a waste of such a great opportunity to not go to Hogwarts."

Snape glanced towards Liam, 'This boy understood the situation and is acting on it. Does he already know the existence of wizards? It's Interesting' He maintained his cold expression.

Mrs. Cole was not so sure about Liam's claim but she had to agree with Liam.

Snape at this moment who had drank all his tea was ready to speak, "Mrs. Cole you may not know this but Liam is a wizard. Hogwarts is a wizarding school for young wizards and witches."

Mrs. Cole looked towards Snape with ridicule, "A wizard" she laughed, "Who are you trying to fool here"

Snape waved his hand and the cup which was placed on the table levitated and flew towards the dishwasher itself.

Mrs. Cole just kept looking towards the cup, not believing what she had seen. This was also the first time that Liam had seen magic, he was also astonished. Luke who was hiding had his mind blown.

Snape with a cold expression asked, "Do you believe me now?" Mrs. Cole couldn't refute the existence of wizards now that she had seen one herself.

Snape added, "Young wizards if not taught how to use magic can get into a lot of problems." He said with a serious tone, "And let me tell you one thing, the problems which happen are certainly what you to see happen."

Mrs. Cole was slightly taken back she didn't want anything bad to happen with Liam. She nodded agreeing to what Snape had said.

"The chit chat ends here, if you want to not let him learn magic do it after two years when he has learned the basics." He said in impatience, "But now let's not waste any more time. I have other things to do as well" then he looked towards and said in a commanding voice, "So get ready, quickly we are going to get your books and equipment."

Following Snape's order Liam went back to his room got changed and came back down. Liam looked at Snape with a bit resentment but showed a smile and said, "I am ready, let's go"

Snape looked at Liam from top to bottom, Liam was wearing a loose T-shirt with long sleeves with a jacket and black jeans, "Well it's good enough".

Snape and Liam both walked in an alley way, he looked towards Liam and said, "Hold my hand". Liam snorted, "I can walk on my own, I don't need to hold your hand".

Snape in showed an unhappy face, "We are apparating there". Liam knew what apparition was but he had to act like he knew nothing, "Apparating?? What issss!!"

Before he could continue Snape grabbed him by his shoulder and apparated to Diagon alley. Liam who had apparated for the first time puked just as they reached Diagon alley. He was full of resentment. "Couldn't you have at least warned me?"

Snape was reconsidering his previous conclusion that 'Liam already knows of the wizarding world'.

"Do you really not know anything about magic?" asked Snape.

"How would I know? Today was the first day I got to know about the wizarding world." Liam being good at acting showed not a single flaw saying this statement.

Snape didn't reply back and just started walking towards a certain direction. Liam was annoyed by snap's behavior. He followed behind him.

A cobblestoned shopping area for the wizarding world. Where Hogwarts students can purchase necessary supplies.

Liam looked around the alley, there were shops selling robes, shops selling telescopes and strange silver instruments that Liam had never seen before. The windows were stacked with barrels of bat spleen and eel's eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills, and rolls of parchment, potion bottles, globe of the moon…

Liam was out of patience he asked, "Where are we going? Can you please tell me?"

"We are going to Gringotts to get your scholarship fund. You don't think I will be the one paying for your stuff do you?" Snape replied.

Getting through the crowd they reached a snowy white building that towered over the other little shops.

The bank had goblins sitting on top of high tables accounting money. They both walked towards the goblin sitting in the middle at back.

The head goblin saw Snape and greeted him and then asked, "Professor Snape, what brings you here today"

"Mr. Liam Gremory would like to take his scholarship funds." Snape said in a cold tone.

The Head goblin looked at Liam and asked, "You would have to show the acceptance letter. Did you bring it"

The list of books and equipment was attached to the letter because of that reason Liam had the letter with him as well.

'Couldn't you have told this to me before? If the list wasn't attached to the letter how would have I got the scholarship fund' Liam was silently cursing Snape in his mind.

Snape still had his cold expression from the beginning to the end, he looked towards Liam and asked, "Show him the letter".

Liam couldn't complain he handed the head goblin the letter, after checking that the letter was not fake the head goblin returned the letter. Just at this moment a half giant entered the bank with a 11 year old boy.

"Oh!! Professor Snape what brings you here." Said Hagrid after greeting Snape. Hagrid then looked towards the 11 year old boy next to him and said, "Harry this is Prof. Snape he will be teaching you potions".

Harry noticed the boy next to Snape, "Hello, I am Harry potter" He introduced himself with a smile.

Liam with a smile also shook his hand, "I am Liam Gremory".

The head goblin had took out a bag containing the scholarship funds and handed it to Snape.

"Hagrid I think you should do what you were here to do, I have to accompany Gremory to his shopping".

"Oh!! Yes, yeah I also have to accompany Harry for the shopping. Let part our ways"

Harry and Liam said good bye to each other and went their separate ways.

'Harry potter, the boy who lived. My life is going to be filled with danger from now on. Voldemort is going to return.'

After spending few hours shopping.

Snape who was tired of taking an 11 year old for shopping asked in a dull tone, "What's left?"

Liam looked at the list, "A wand, It's the last item".

"A wand... Ollivander's shop is just around the cornor. You go and buy the wand yourself I will be waiting for you at 'The Leaky Cauldron'.
