They look around in caution searching for the source of danger they're feeling.

Lyra was the first to notice and react fast.
She jumped out from her previous spot and just as she left a massive plant monsters emerged.
"Everyone prepare to fight."
Alise who already unsheathed her sword shouted tried to cut the monster's but to her dismay her attack just bounced back unable to even leave a scratch.
Thick hard vines the size of a man slammed onto the group of adventurers.
"Tanks take a defensive position." (Asfi)

One of the tanks was thrown flying from the impossibly strong force of the impact, the shield unable to withstand the force of the attack.
"What are these things, magic is useless against them?"
"This is no time to question the identity of these monsters we just need to kill them."
Said Kaguya as she ran through the battlefield cutting down every single monster that came across.
For every rotation of her sword she gains momentum making her next swing much stronger and deadlier.
"Magic isn't completely useless we just lack the necessary firepower enough to do real damage."
The mages began chanting while being protected by the closed range fighters.
Ryuu on the other hand cut every the monsters she came across while she did her chanting.
"Concurrent chanting…"
Someone said in amazement looking at Ryuu's fairy-like figure speeding in the battlefield.
"Everyone get back…"
Ordered Asfi after all they wanted to avoid incurring friendly fire.

A powerful barrage of multicolor magical spells rain upon the plant like monsters destroying them into smithereens leaving nothing behind except the usual yellow green magic crystals.
"Don't be complacent there are more where it came from."
Screamed Lyra and just as she said the same plant monsters began to sprung out from the ground using the sewage system of the city as a pathway.

Seeing a member of Hermes Familia about to be killed Ryuu speed multiplied she moved in an unprecedented speed appearing just before the rushing monsters parrying its attacks.
Taking advantage of the opening she retaliated back by performing a high-speed sword slashes cutting the monsters into bits and pieces.
"Are you alright?"
Asked Ryuu in concern.
"Yes… I'm alright. Thank you very much."
The young Pallum girl blushed.

"They probably wouldn't be able to handle the next wave of monsters unless they started bringing out some of their trump cards, but if they do so, they wouldn't be able to contend against the boss monster."
Said Kai, his eyes not leaving the battlefield.
He is using some sort of projected screen to allow the gods to see what's going on in a safe distance.
"Next wave. There are more of those things?"
Asked Astraea, worry about her children's safety.
"Yes. There's more of those artificially made monsters. The ones you're seeing right now couldn't even be considered as a fraction."
"How do you even know of this?"
Asked Hermes, growing more curious the more he spent time beside Kai.
"While I'm not confident that I know everything, all you just need to know is that this is just the beginning and if they couldn't overcome this little event they wouldn't be able to survive the upcoming ones."
Kai stood up and looked up at the cloudy sky his vision bypassing the dark clouds, heavenly realm and the barrier that separates the Danmachi world and the Cardinal world.
Looking at the world beyond and even beyond that, an unknown desire has awakened within him.
The desire to explore and see the wonders of the infinite realities and beyond.
