8 Hopeless

With the sun shone brightly, the birds chirped along, and the wind carried beautiful flower petals all around. Such a beautiful and wonderous spring day, yet something strange was going on. A great commotion was unfolding in Biscord High, and on the first day of school nonetheless. Some might say that the devil was out and about playing tricks on the two, but others might say that they were brought together by fate.

Anyhow, the boy awkwardly followed his new debt collector. He had both his hands clenched together between his legs as he walked, while his head lowered in shame. If you looked carefully, you could see tears in his eyes. The crowd of students continued to whisper rumors among themselves as Isabelle, and the boy left the gymnasium with a few black-suit bodyguards following them from behind.

Isabelle, on the other hand, walked as if she were on the catwalk of a fashion show, flawlessly portraying a top model. Her left hand gently rested just above her left hip and her right elbow at her right side and right hand out, she walked. Her shoulders moved back and forth symmetrical to the movements of her hips, such a sassy and flirtatious walk. The boy, on the other hand, looked pitiful as he continued to follow her while lost in his thoughts of hopelessness. He seemed as if he had been beaten like a dog and currently limping his way to the nurse's office.

On the other side of the school grounds, there was a small villa. A villa? On school grounds? You must remember that Isabelle is a child of the biggest conglomerate and that her family practically owns the city. It's not strange for her to have a home away from home, even on school grounds. She had it built so that she could rest whenever she felt like it.

Two silhouettes appeared just before a small wooden gate of the Tuscany-inspired villa that was encircled by a wooden fence. There was also a majestic-tier marble fountain in front of the yard circled with beautiful wildflowers. From the wooden gate, a trail of stone steps leads the way to the front door. Isabelle pushed the wooden gate forward and entered. She continued her footsteps toward the front door and entered the villa.

"Good morning, Miss Isabelle," a maid welcomed her with a bow.

"Thanks, Anna," Isabelle replied while taking her shoes off.

The maid quickly went into the cupboard for a pair of slippers for Isabelle to change into.

Isabelle saw this, and she quickly said, "One extra pair for that peasant behind me. Wouldn't want him walking around the villa in those dirty shoes of his."

The maid was confused and asked, "Miss Isabelle, there's no one else here other than the two of us."

Isabelle paused and looked back. The "peasant" wasn't there.

What happened to that boy? Well, he was so gone in his own mind that he kept walking straight without realizing that the person he was following had changed their route and entered the villa.

She took a few steps back to peak out the door and saw that the boy was still walking forward.

Isabelle was so shocked by the boy's stupidity, she screamed, "That idiot! Ugh! Anna, can you go fetch that fool, please?!"

She then stepped inside to the living space and sat down on the couch to wait for the boy's arrival.

A couple of minutes later, the boy was brought in front of Isabelle.

"Anna, can you prepare some milk tea for us?" Isabelle asked.

"Right away, Miss Isabelle," the maid answered and bowed before making her way into the kitchen to prepare the teas.

Isabelle turned toward the boy and asked, "So, what is your name?"

The boy lifelessly stood there, staring into space and didn't respond.

"HEY!" she screamed.

He quivered and snapped out of his stupor. He looked to his all around him and realized where he was and who the girl in front of him was.

He feigned ignorance with his right hand rubbing his the back of his head and chuckled in response, "Oh, sorry about that. What were you saying? Ha ha ha… "

Isabelle rolled her eyes and then continued, "My dress? You were gonna pay… "

THUMP

Before Isabelle could finish her sentence, the boy immediately fainted at the word "pay."

Yes, he had collapsed. His mental well-being was shaken to the point of fainting.

The boy's sudden drop shocked Isabelle. She surged up from her seat and screamed for the maid, "Anna! Anna! Come here quick!"

The maid came rushing over, "What is it, Miss Isabelle?"

Isabelle didn't say anything, she just pointed at the poor boy on the ground.

The maid was shocked at the sight, but merely for a second. She quickly called for one of Isabelle's bodyguards, "Guards! Guards! Someone come in and help us!"

A black-suit bodyguard came in and wondered what had happened, but he didn't say anything. But, he wasn't shocked though. No, not at all, he was used to these sorts of ridiculous situations that the young miss causes on a daily basis. He then moved the unconscious boy onto the couch and laid him on his back.

"Don't worry about this too much, Miss. I'll send for the school nurse, right away," the maid said before turning to the black-suit bodyguard to ask him to request for the nurse. But, before she could utter a word he black-suit bodyguard abruptly spoke, "The nurse is already en route."

Isabelle sighed and thought, "This fellow is so hopeless… "
