32 Fighting Klein (Part 1)

Meanwhile, three minutes ago, on the site of the blast, the older one of the Klein brother syndicate was wreaking havoc on the surroundings, trying to destroy everything and everyone that came in front of him.

Several Union members were trying to stop him, but they were not at the level to fight someone of his level.

With his powerful pyrokinetic powers, the enemy felt like an unstoppable foe.

The only thing they could do was buy time so that the reinforcements could arrive, and hopefully Jiyoung Yoo would come and solve this matter herself.

The best course of action was to pool their powers together to create spatial isolation, but in order to do that, they would first have to distract the enemy for a couple of minutes until they were finished casting it over the entire neighbourhood.

However, none of them were powerful enough to buy more than a few seconds. At the rate at which their numbers were dying down, it would be impossible to even create spatial isolation with the few members that would remain.

Just when another one of their members was about to be defeated, a strong kick struck the enemy, and he was sent flying and crashing into the nearby building.

Everyone looked at the person who entered the fight and took the enemy by surprise.

This person was Seo Jiwoo, Shinhwa's wild card. The person who has surprised and amazed everyone among the awakened ones in Korea with his amazing progress. The boy who became one of the top rookies was on par with 'The Four' after only being discovered a few months ago.

Despite being adults and being much older than him, the union members knew that they were not as powerful as Jiwoo to help him in this fight.

"Jiwoo." A union member called him out.

"Sorry, but we can't help you fight him. We need to split our forces and put up a barrier. And...we are not strong enough to help you." the union member said while gritting his teeth in frustration.

"We, awakened ones...are obligated to protect regular civilians from awakened powers and are to prioritise keeping our identity hidden from the public." Jiwoo turned and looked at them and continued, "I am an awakened one, too. I should also abide by that rule."

The union members were surprised to see how much Jiwoo had grown mentally. But this was no time to be amazed by the boy in front of him.

After all, the enemy was already up, and flames flared up from his hands as he prepared to launch an attack.

"Hurry and go!" Jiwoo yelled as he dodged a few fireballs that came his way.

The union members moved immediately and started to retreat from the fight.

But the enemy's attention switched towards them and he was about to launch an attack towards them.

"No!" Jiwoo yelled and engaged the enemy with his super speed. The speed, however, wasn't at the level needed to completely dominate the enemy.

The Klein brother managed to keep up with Jiwoo's pace. Though not completely, he managed to avoid and block a few of Jiwoo's attacks. And the ones that actually landed on his body didn't do much damage.

Jiwoo retreated from the fight and put up a little distance between the two of them to avoid his attack.

'My attacks aren't working. This is completely different from before.' Jiwoo thought

As he was trying to recover his breath, spatial isolation was created, which gave him a little relief as it was one less thing to worry about.

The Klein brother was about to engage Jiwoo once again, but sensed the attack coming at him and defended against the blades of air that flew towards him.

Jiwoo looked at the person who attacked just now and was relieved to know it was Jisuk.

"Ah shit. Why is this guy here again?" Jisuk asked nonchalantly as he walked into the fight.

"Did he run away too?" Jisuk said it out loud and was about to launch another attack.

"Jisuk wait!" Jiwoo said

"Huh? Why?" Jisuk asked

"I need to move the fallen ones from over there." Jiwoo pointed towards the fallen union members lying across the battlefield.

"Wow, you've grown a lot. Trying to save people in the middle of fighting someone like that." Jisuk said

"Sorry." Jiwoo said it with a small smile on his face.

"Never mind. Just make it quick." Jisuk said as he charged up his powers and sent a whirlwind of air towards the enemy, who was forced to defend with his body in front of a fast attack like that.

This created an opening for Jiwoo to safely rescue everyone. The only one left was the person who was lying down directly in front of the enemy.

Jiwoo reached him and picked him up; however, at this moment, the enemy recovered from Jisuk's attack and launched an attack on Jiwoo with his claws on fire.

Jisuk, however, interrupted the enemy's attack by launching his own, creating enough distraction for Jiwoo to move the fallen soldier to safety.

The enemy this time launched his own attack to counter Jisuk's attack and managed to penetrate through Jisuk's wind.

Jisuk had no time to defend against the fireball hurling towards him and raised his arms up to defend himself while letting out a few curses.

Before the attack could reach Jisuk, an ice wall formed out of nowhere and intercepted the enemy's attack, neutralising it completely.

"What's happening here?"

"Subin!" Jiwoo yelled happily.

"Kekekeke. Jisuk, keep in mind that I just saved your ass." Subin said to Jisuk, taunting him.

"Fuck you! I was fine on my own!" Jisuk yelled

"Yeah right." Subin replied

"Jisuk, I have already moved all of them." Jiwoo said

Steam rose from the ice wall, capturing their attention, and at the next second, they saw the ice wall completely melted, and in it's place were multiple fireballs rotating at a very high speed.

Realizing the power and destructiveness of the incoming attack, the three of them moved away towards relatively high ground and looked back at the ground with a look of surprise.

The explosion from the attack just now evaporated the rubble and rocks from the ground.

If they had been hit with such an attack directly, then there was no way they could have survived without sustaining serious injuries.

"That's one of the Klein brothers, right?" Subin asked, recognising who their enemy was.

"Yeah"

"Shit." Subin cursed
