2 King Monkey

'Nonsense, this is all nonsense. I bet it's a dream. Yea, it's definitely a dream!' As Ferrin was trying to get his throbbing heart into control, the gigantic monkey suddenly vanished from his vision.

"Where did it go?" Ferrin asked in disbelief, it was right there just a second ago! After taking a few seconds to collect himself, Ferrin finally calmed down to think rationally and the first thing that came to his mind was, 'Mom! Where's mom?'

Ferrin jumped to his feet and rapidly dashed down the stairs. In a jiffy, he reached the kitchen and found his mother unconscious on the ground.

"Mom!" Ferrin broke into a panic yet again and hurriedly dashed towards her. Seeing her safe and away from the broken windows, he sighed in relief. 'There's no external injury at least. I'm glad there are no broken fragments anywhere.'

Ferrin started gently calling out to his mother, shaking her slightly and tapping her face to get her up and running again.

"Uuuu!" Aria frowned slightly in displeasure and shifted her side, intending to sleep more.

"Mom! Mom! Wake up!" Ferrin didn't let her have her wish and kept calling out to her, finally causing her to open her eyes.

Aria's squinted eyes sized up Ferrin, not recognizing him immediately due to her blurry vision.

"Come on mom! Wake up already!" Ferrin frowned slightly, not liking the situation at all.

"Ferrin?" Aria sized up Ferrin from head to toe, her eyes expressing her avid confusion and shock.

"Yo-you came to wake me up?" Aria asked in disbelief, her surprise just getting larger.

"Since you planned on sleeping on the floor, yea I did," Ferrin replied with clear irritation, outside, the world had changed yet she was here asking him whether he was here to wake her up or what. Truly brilliant.

"Get up, something strange is goi-"

Boom!

Ferrin's ears pricked up at the sudden sound. His words halted in his throat.

"Wha... what was that sound?" Aria asked in fear and confusion. Finally realizing where she was and beginning to break out into a panic.

Just before she could start hurling out questions, Ferrin placed his finger on her lips and motioned her to stay silent.

Pat! Pat! Pat!

The rhythmic sound of footsteps encroaching toward the kitchen came from the hall. The loud sounds indicated the large mass of the creature that had infiltrated their house.

Ferrin motioned towards his mother to follow him and went beneath the dining table. Silently and fearfully gazing at the door from where someone might just come inside at any moment.

'Who is it? Who is it? Who is it?' Ferrin's mind kept playing on repeat, not stopping for a second.

'What's happening?' Aria gulped nervously, she was forcing herself to stomach her large amount of questions to herself.

Pat! Pat! Pat!

'Here!' Ferrin's hazy eyes shivered in fear, seeing the three-toed, hairy feet walking around in the kitchen.

'Is it a... monkey?' Ferrin wondered incredulously. 'Thankfully I don't think it's even the hundredth of what I saw outside.'

Feeling something sweaty and constantly trembling thing placed on his hand, Ferrin glanced forward. Seeing the fear etched deep on his mother's face, his eyes trembled with mixed emotions.

Her lips trembled as she tried to adjust her mind, the questions running rampant due to that strange feet. The entire eerie atmosphere made her feel exceptionally scared.

Ferrin felt something igniting inside him, his gaze turned fierce as his eyes swiftly dashed around the room, searching for something he could use to scare away or even kill that idiotic monkey. No matter how abnormal he was, he was still just a 15-year-old teenager, his young blood boiled crazily seeing his mother so afraid.

'What can I do? What can I do? Think! THINK!' His eyes hurriedly dashed around, and at a very rapid speed, a plan came to his mind, his years of slacking around and watching animes maybe helped to come up with such a unique plan.

'Let's hope it continues to circle around the kitchen. My plan requires it to move near the fridge if not then it's nothing more than a pipedream.' Ferrin licked his lips, excitement brewing in his heart. Ignoring his lazy life, he was a very wild adventure at heart, he wouldn't be so engrossed in anime otherwise.

The monkey didn't disappoint Ferrin, it sniffed around, smelling the fresh meat in the air. It searched around to the best of its abilities. It continued to walk past the sink and moved towards the fridge which was very near to the door, it had already circled the kitchen without being able to find the food.

Ferrin, seeing the monkey just about to reach the right place, readied up.

Aria reached out her hands and held Ferrin's slightly chubby hand firmly, worry flashing in her eyes. She didn't say anything, her lips merely able to quiver from fear, but her questioning eyes were more than enough to convey her worry and confusion.

Ferrin gazed at her lovely face with extreme warmth and smiled reassuringly, he placed his hand on hers and pushed them away, his scary eyes looked towards the monkey. 'I can't forgive you... your only sin is that you scared my mother!' Ferrin took a deep breath and counted backward, '3, 2, 1!'

Whoosh!

Ferrin dashed forward, the monkey who had just stepped past the heavy fridge heard the rapid sound and turned around, seeing a figure rapidly go behind the large object, its pale purple lips parted revealing its hideous and sharp fangs.

Ferrin used all his strength to push the fridge, his teeth clenched together as he shouted loudly inside his mind, 'FALL!'

The fridge skidded from the stand it was placed on and tilted towards the monkey.

The monkey's eyes widened in bewilderment, its extremely long and busy tail which was headed for Ferrin abruptly came to a halt, "Ee!?"

The only thing it could do was tilt its head before the fridge fell down on it with all its weight.

Thud!

Ferrin feeling his blood rushing to his head rapidly looked around, not finding anything good, he strode forward and took hold of a chair.

"EEE!" The monkey constantly wriggled around, appearing to be in some pain but its lively struggle showed clearly that the weight of the fridge couldn't hold it down for long. All it needed to do was regain its bearing and its 6-foot-plus tall body would stand again.

Ferrin clenched the chair tightly and smacked it heavily on the monkey's head. "STAY PUT! MONKEY!"

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Consecutive sounds traveled in the kitchen, each one taking more time than the previous one.

After about 7 hits, Ferrin's hand slipped and the chair fell down, his chest rose up and down heavily, and his mouth opened wide trying to catch his breath.

Seeing the motionless monkey seemed to have brought down his adrenaline level slightly.

Suddenly, the monkey opened one of its eyes and peeked at Ferrin.

"...Shit!" Ferrin almost wanted to slap himself. Why did he stop when the monkey hadn't even started bleeding?

"EEE!" The monkey screamed loudly, realizing it had been caught, in a desperate bid to free itself, it started struggling with all its might and flipped the fridge from atop its body, and jumped to its feet.

Ferrin didn't dare enter a staring contest and hurriedly jumped backward, his back touching the kitchen counter, sweat pouring down heavily from his forehead.

'Damn! This is something!' A grin stretched across Ferrin's face as his eyes landed on a knife, some distance from his hand. His eyes glanced towards the monkey who had its claws outstretched, ready to pounce on him.

'Do it!' Ferrin jumped towards the knife, almost at the same time as the monkey who jumped towards Ferrin.

Ferrin reached out and grabbed the knife, his heart throbbing uncountably. His sudden jump caused the monkey to slam into the counter, Ferrin didn't waste the opportunity and did a small spin before slamming the knife into the monkey's back.

"Eee!" The monkey screamed in pain and grabbed its way atop the countertop.

Seeing the blood dripping from the monkey's back, Ferrin felt relieved, thankfully its dumb skin wasn't tough to the point of resisting knives.

The monkey's resentful gaze lingered across Ferrin followed short by its bushy tail.

Whoosh!

Ferrin swiftly ducked, barely escaping the swift and nimble tail.

'Yea! Keep going baby!' Ferrin felt ecstatic at his cool duck... wondering if he had been a martial artist in one of his lives.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The monkey's tail traveled back and forth a few times causing Ferrin to constantly get up and down like he was doing sit-ups.

'Nice weight-loss training! Sadly my stamina is already limited, think fast! I can't go on like this!' Ferrin dashed back and grabbed and chair, he clenched it tightly and hurled it towards the monkey, causing it to jump down.

He grabbed another chair and once again threw it at the monkey, causing it to use its tail to smash it away.

The tail shifted momentum mid-flight and came for Ferrin.

'Shit! Mom is behind me!' Ferrin gulped nervously and braced himself for the impact.

Boom! Thud!

Ferrin crashed heavily into the top of the dining table before sliding away due from the glass cover and falling onto the ground.

"AWW!" A wretched scream came out of Ferrin's mouth, the pain caused him to feel like he was about to die any second.

The monkey grinned savagely and jumped across the table and landed on top of Ferrin, "Kekekeke!"

The table flipped pretty cleanly, and the monkey ignoring the pain on its back slapped Ferrin's chubby face heavily, causing the latter's whole world to go for a ride.

"KEKEKE!" The monkey laughed manically, fingers brilliant after finally returning the many favors.

"WHAT'S SO FUNNY ABOUT HITTING MY SON, HUH?" An exceptionally enraged scream erupted from behind the monkey, causing it to vigilantly turn its head.

But it was too late, Aria's hand clasped around the knife's edge and pulled down with every ounce of her strength and weight.

Sissi!

"KEEE!" The monkey's skin tore apart, the knife was wholly embedded inside it and most likely had reached its backbone. The monkey's head falls down lifelessly atop Ferrin's chest.

"Ferrin!" Aria's enraged face instantly lost all strength, turning ashen as she hurriedly pushed aside the monkey's body and reached out for Ferrin.

Despite not being able to see clearly,

Ferrin clearly recognized the warmth around him. His hand weakly arose and pointed towards the monkey, his lips quivered but he failed to speak aloud.

Aria glanced at the monkey and looked at Ferrin, her eyes became resolute as she placed him gently on the ground and went towards the monkey, she pulled out the knife and stabbed it heavily into the monkey's head.

'...' Aria fearfully gazed at the monkey, her fingers trembling as she pondered about having taken a life.

Ferrin felt something revitalizing his body, instantly his body became vigorous again. He weakly stood up and went towards the monkey, seeing its lifeless state, his previous experience told him that... this tenacious faker was still alive.

A cold grin stretched across his face as he took out the knife, as the knife was pulled out, the monkey's eye opened abruptly, coming face to face with Ferrin who was eerily close to its face.

"EE-" The monkey's scream came to an abrupt halt as the knife in Ferrin's hand once again pushed deep into its skull.

Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!

Ferrin, admits his crazy rampage, whilst shocking Aria into numbness felt something drilling inside his body and imprinting itself inside him. The process didn't feel weird but actually somewhat soothing, even the last of his pain vanished after that feeling.

Ferrin finally calmed down, seeing the unsightly monkey corpse, he spat on it and spoke coldly, "Don't scare my mom like that again, you scum!"

Aria's eyes widened slightly, the tears welling up inside her eyes finally letting out slowly. Her figure dashed forward and tightly hugged Ferrin.

"My son, sniff, don't, sniff, don't do such things again!" Aria rubbed her face again his cheek, feeling her heart which had been madly throbbing since Ferrin rushed out from beneath the table till now, finally starting to ease up.

"KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

The warmth and lovely feeling welling up inside Ferrin suddenly came to a halt, replaced by a pungent cold. He fearfully pushed Aria's hand away, whose breath had stopped due to the horrifying scream, and dashed towards the window, his eyes once again lying upon the gigantic, skyscraper size king monkey.

'Damn! Why is that monstrosity heading this way?' Ferrin's eyes shook in fear, he could feel his whole body trembling in suppression.
