Chapter 28

'Hmm, it's not noticed me at all.' Cobalt grinned internally, idly following above the swimming Sea Feilong. He was debating how to attack it, and had quite a few plans he wanted to try out. He could coat his weapons with his crystals and stretch his limbs out and just go full ham and try and beat it down, that could be fun. Or he could even poison it and watch it die slowly...though that wouldn't be nearly as fun. Or he could roast it over and over with his Fire Breath!

Pyrrha sighed, 'Cobalt, honey..don't forget that Grimm aren't aggressive to you,' the redhead pointed out, 'It won't even bother with you until you attack. So just fly down and use your Cero form point blank range and try and destroy its brain. Don't forget we're on a time limit before we need to head back to meet up with Ruby and the others again, you can't waste time with an uphill battle against this thing.'

You pouted. Or well, tried, you couldn't really pout with a beak. Pyrrha was absolutely right, sadly. No matter amazing it would be to have a dog fight with a dragon through the sky!

And well, it wasn't like you really had anyone to show off to out here, besides Pyrrha. and well, it was kind of hard to make yourself seem way more badass than you actually were, when the audience was privy to your every thought and emotion.

'It's a good thing I'm here, I'd honestly be worried what you'd get up to without me to act as your common sense.' Pyrrha teased.

You very maturely sent back an imagined scene of you grabbing her in the full nelson position, completely naked and punishing her womanhood by slamming your former penis up into her with all the force of a rapid fire cannon.

'Eck!' Pyrrha sputtered for a moment. 'Really? There's no helping you is there?..I'll have to watch out when you finally manage to get a human body back.'

Yes she will! Wait, was it just you, or was she seemingly not against the idea?

'..Nevermind that for now,' Pyrrha hastily said, 'You've got a Sea Feilong to kill don't you.' she reminded you.

'..This isn't over.' you promised. You felt Pyrrha let out a wave of resignation and a bit of embarrassment...but also amusement.

Shaking your head, you took Pyrrha's plan into consideration and dipped down beside the massive dorsal fin of the Sea Feilong and followed it along for a few moments.

Finally, its head surfaced after a bout a minute of following it and you flew up behind it as its head ascended up into the air.

You pulled on your magic, compressing it into a humming red orb of power within the palm of your gauntlet clad paw. Just as it reached its apex and began to descend again, you beat your wings hard and launched yourself forward.

The Sea Feilong let loose a roar and tried to buck as you slammed into the back of its head and gripped its mask tightly with your free paw. But, it didn't get much of a chance to do anything when you slammed your other paw into the back of its head, just below the mask and release all the compressed magic in form of a massive beam of red power.

The massive sea serpent roared in agony as your attack burned into the back of its unprotected head, and to its credit, it held up for quite a bit before the attack finally managed to burn through its scales and pierce up into its brain. It didn't managed to come out the other side though before your power dwindled and you felt a wave of exhaustion fill your body as your magic power ran dry.

A low keening noise came from the Sea Filong's throat and it wobbled back and forth mid air before it toppled backwards, its body beginning to dissipate into smoke. You threw yourself back with a flap of your wings to avoid being slammed into the water surface.

'Jeez, only just managed it and no more.' you panted as the corpse slammed into the water and created a massive wave of water form its sheer weight.

Considering you had vaporized a twenty foot rock surface jutting out from the ocean when testing the Cero out the first time, that said a lot.
