15 The Battle Begins

Doomsday suddenly punched toward Luthor.

As Nion was in thought, Superman stopped its punch. Doomsday held Superman as he jumped off to the sky and left the ship by crashing the ceiling of the ship.

Nion turned toward Lex and approached him with a cold look. "How did you activate the ship?"

Lex backed off, a little scared. He tried to smile, "well…".

He was cut off by Nion coming close enough and grasping his throat.

"I won't ask again, How?!"

Lex said hurriedly, "Okay, Okay! I found a Key in the wreckage at the Indian ocean. Activated the ship! I located Zod's hand that was somewhere in the city since it got blown away in your battle based on the video and used it to access command!".

Back then…

Nion took the drive and the key with an excited smile and left the ship without looking back, his mind in the clouds and his mouth drooling. He didn't suspect the world engine also had a key in it.

All separate Crafts needed a key to activate in Kryptonian technology. The World engine was no different...

"Why do this? What's your end game?"

Luthor remained silent. Nion's Ki slowly flared. His eyes faintly glowed as he looked Luthor in the eye. "You think I won't kill you?"

Lex was intimidated but he still put on a crazy smile, "The Hero is turning into a Villian? Is the god falling to become a demon, showing your true colors now? Interesting.".

Nion suddenly hit Luthor's back on a wall, a few ribs broke. "I might not kill you but I can make sure you don't walk again..."

Luthor's eyes widened as he flinched in pain and fear. "I wanted you two to die. I see you for what you truly are... If you wanted to enslave the world, who could stop you? I had to do it."

Nion frowned. 'In face of absolute power like Superman's and mine in this case; some people will feel helpless and weak. Helplessness gives birth to fear and terror and that makes some look at us as the enemy irrationally. This desire turns into hatred and causes people like Luthor to go such stupid length to overcome the enemy they see; As a way to overcome the fear?'

"You realize that if we fail to stop that thing. The world is over right?"

"It was made from my blood so I thought it would be controlled by me... I miscalculated. It won't happen again." Luthor said with a confident smile. His attitude was carefree...

'He is officially crazy, his reasoning is okay but the way he wants to achieve his goals is... At least don't destroy the world in the process! A psychopath with a high IQ, great wealth, and influence... Should I kill him?'

The inside of the ship lit up for a moment, he became distracted and looked up. He broke Luthro's leg with a casual punch then He dropped Luthor and flew up and left the ship through the hole created by doomsday.

He was greeted with a magnificent spectacle in the sky, A nuclear bomb had exploded in space. The expanding clouds of fire and plasma lit up the night's sky and turned night into a bright day for a moment.

"Wow…" Nion muttered as he gazed at it and saw a projectile that was on fire fall from the sky.

'That's got to be Doomsday…'

His body shivered as if expecting a great battle... It hungered for war.

His eyes grew serious as light blue Ki began surrounding his body. His hair fluttered without wind as his cape flowed behind him due to Ki. He looked extremely powerful. His training and living at higher gravity had born fruit.

His eyes began to faintly glow blue as he slowly hovered in the air and shot off toward Dommsday's location. The surroundings rumbled as he easily broke the sound barrier…

A few moments later and he arrived near Doomsday. Just as he thrust the spear forward, a powerful shockwave hit him head-on.

A massive energy blast of red electricity expanded with Doomsday at its center in all directions. It was so big that it was visible from space…

Nion felt like he had hit a mountain. He was dizzy for a moment but recovered instantly.

He looked around and saw that he was lying on the ground. His eyes opened wide, 'Where is the spear? That damn thing wasn't supposed to do that until landing… From now on, I won't rely on my knowledge of the future no matter what!'.

The Spear was nowhere in sight, it was separated from him during the energy blast.

Just as he stood up, he felt as if a train had hit him.

His body was blown back and crashed through several walls and wreckages until he stopped. Doomsday had kicked him immediately after landing.

He slowly got off the ground, his eyes were slightly murderous. He was pissed off… but he also had an expectant smirk. He looked a little crazy...

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

His Ki exploded around him, his cape and hair fluttering like crazy as a blue tornado visible from both cities formed around him. His body was surrounded by a faint layer of Ki that glowed in azure color. The air around him vibrated and buzzed…

He wasn't using all his power, he had channeled 50% of his Ki. He had managed to improve his Ki control to perfection just recently. He had realized that the key to making Ki techniques lied in Ki control so he had perfected it first and now he had the ability to make Ki attacks and techniques after years of perfecting it. He had yet to begin making them though...

For a mere moment, as if an illusion, his hair shone in a brilliant sun-color and his eyes turned an icy cyan color.

But it reverted to normal almost instantly.

'Sometimes thinking too much is bad, one must just act and follow the instincts.'

His face was cold. He gazed at Doomsday and shot off toward the monster. The land he stood on, turned into a small crater. The air exploded on his way and the sound echoed on the island.

He appeared in front of doomsday and punched without holding back. Doomsday was blown back as a massive boom echoed. It crashed to the ground and a giant crater formed due to the impact. It's hand turned into a bloody mist�� but it began regrowing with spikes.

'It is big so I must emphasize on speed, I can't let it rest or another energy blast will follow, I need to stall it since it regenerates and not do direct attacks like now since, in case of an energy blast, makes it stronger. I absolutely can't use Ki attacks on it since it absorbs energy. Let's hope Batman will find the spear and bring it, otherwise, it will be a battle of two immortals… unless I laser it… I also can't use too much physical power since kinetic force seems to be absorbed as well.'

Nion thought at light speed. The air around him was still buzzing a little but it wasn't as intense.

He saw the deformity slowly lit up ready to release another energy blast, He didn't let it. He approached it as fast as he could and gripped its head with both his hands and hit its face against his knee.

He didn't stop, he hit its face with his knee again and again and again…

Suddenly he felt a searing pain in his knee and was blown back. He crashed into the ground and left a long trail until he stopped. He looked down and saw his leg's skin burning and slowly healing.

In a second, it went back to perfectly normal; However, the part of the suit on his knee was gone.

'The laser eyes are dangerous… not to me though... I don't want to become naked so let's avoid it.'

Doomsday looked at him and its eyes lit up, it was preparing to use its laser eyes on him. Its face was even more hideous since Nion's attack deformed it even more.

Nion noticed and jumped away, the ground where he laid on previously melted away…

Nion flew away and the red beams followed closely. He could feel the heat behind him as he sped up.

Doomsday stopped the beam as it realized he would outrun them. It jumped and followed Nion.

Nion flew up and tried to search for the spear. However, the air was filled with smoke and the ground burned in many places. He couldn't find it in a short time…

He felt Doomsday behind him so he turned around and shot towards it and landed a dropkick onto its neck.

Doomsday broke the sound barrier as it crashed on the ground again with a great impact. Another crater formed with it in the middle.

Doomsday's body lit up again, Nion descended on it full force but he didn't have to. A woman wearing battle armor with a sword and shield flew toward it with a battle cry and stunned Doomsday by hitting it in the head with her shield. She had put her weight and force behind it.

However, to Nion shock, it had no effect! A ginormous energy blast was released by it, it devastated the entire island and turned everything into ash. Thankfully the island was uninhabited.

The woman had survived the blast behind her shield. She looked fine on the other side of the island, she had been blown away.

Nion had to hold back a lot when fighting doomsday because he was afraid it would absorb his powerful attacks and wipe out the planet in an energy blast...
