CHAPTER 4: TWO MINUTES HAPINESS

'Yeah…." Arthur replied.

He was also quite shocked when he saw the memories of Little Arthur. Little Arthur began to beg in order to get food and he has been doing this since last two years since he started to living with Emma

But one day his sister, Emma , fell sick and they didn't had any money to take her to the doctor.

Maria also was quite at this time. Digesting the whole story and felt anger towards Little Arthur's parents for abandoning little boy in cold.

She looked at the Arthur. She didn't noticed earlier but the boy had sickly figure almost bones visible little to no mass , he had golden hairs and dark purple shade eyes.

"Don't worry boy! Suffering comes with rewards too. Just believe in yourself." Maria said.

"Yeah!" Arthur didn't wander too much in past memories.

Soon , they reached the abandoned building and it was same as it was 2 years when Little Arthur first came.

Arthur's body subconsciously started moving forward. And soon he reached to familiar yet unfamiliar room, he opened the door and saw a girl of around 12 was lying on the bed covered with 3-4 layer of sheets.

"Sis…" words come of Arthur's mind subconsciously.

"Let me look at her." Maria didn't wasted a second and come forward and started checking her condition.

"Oh my….she has such a high fever…."Maria murmured.

"M-Miss…is my Sis okay?.." Arthur inquired somewhat worried.

"It doesn't seem something major…but let me observer for a few minutes…" Maria replied while continuously checking on Emma.

After 5 minutes

"Okay boy! Don't worry , she had a high fever…..I have given her the glucose drip. She will wake in few minutes." Maria said as he started packing her stuffs.

"Here take this!" Arthur took out the bills from his pockets and stretched to her.

Maria shook her head and said, "Go buy her some drugs and something to eat. Mostly, she didn't wake up till was because of malnutrition. And you can pay back when you enough for yourself."

Maria got up and looked at Arthur and said, "Okay! Come to the clinic if something happened."

And Maria left the room and the building.

Arthur came Emma's side and saw sweated face. He brought a clean towel and wiped the sweat.

Arthur looked at Emma and was quite pleased with seeing her face. She had a small nose and cherry-red lips and long hairs and V-shaped face which is disfigured due to malnutrition.

Arthur looked at her sleeping face and decided to head outside to buy drugs and food.

After 1 hour

"Uhm…" Emma opened her blurry eyes.

She saw Arthur sitting aside and looking at magazine as if he can read them properly.

"Arthur" Emma called out to Arthur.

Arthur who heard the call of Emma quickly looked towards her and went towards her side and helped her sit properly by the support of wall.

"Sis, eat this you will feel better." Arthur offered her apples.

"Huh? Where did you get this from?" Emma looked at apples and other fruits was surprised seeing the amount of food. It was her first time seeing so many varieties of fruits.

"I bought them" Arthur said nonchalantly as he was cutting the apples.

"Huh? Bought them ? Where did you get so much money from?" Emma inquired hoping that Arthur was not doing illegal stuff.

"Don't worry , Sis. I had good 'earning' today. And you were unconscious so I also called the doctor to look at you and said there was nothing major issue." Arthur said as he pushed chopped apples to her.

Emma looked at the glucose drip connected to her right arm and nodded in understanding. Just as she was almost got over with this she saw Arthur's head with a band aid and her heart sank and asked in worried tone, "W-What happen to your head?"

"Ah! It's nothing, I slipped my feet and scratched my head a bit." Arthur said with a bright smile.

"Sigh…Its good that you aren't hurt anywhere." Emma exhaled a sigh of relief that Arthur wasn't hurt anywhere.

"Okay ! Now eat this. Doctor said that you have to eat properly for few days to be in optimum condition."

Arthur said and stuffed few pieces of apples in her mouth.

Emma started munching on apples.

After eating Arthur had her sleep again so that she don't stress herself anymore.

Arthur left the room and sat on the chair.

"I have 2 years before emergence of mega giants companies like Microsoft, Apple, Nike and other.." Arthur murmured as he remember the era or year he was in, was the starting point for future companies which shaped the America.

"But, I am broke now….." Arthur sighed as he was just 10 years old and didn't had any money with him. He knew if he bought enough share of any upcoming major company then he would have enough for himself to never even count.

But he couldn't do anything since his age was too short to do anything in this world.

Just as he was lamenting his bad luck,

[ Ding! ]

He heard a 'ding' sound , he looked around but didn't see thing but soon a semi-transparent black rectangular with golden border started to materialize in front of him.

 "Is this what I am thinking?" Arthur murmured. As in his pervious life he used to work as translator too for many scalations sites and had read many comics related to this kind of situation.

He subconsciously stretched his hand and to his surprise his hand moved other side of the rectangular box.

Soon, a series of text started to appear on the black-rectangular box.

[ Hello, Host! I am ?????? System ]

[ I am here to …buzz….buzzz...ho-sss—ttt ]

Glitches like lines started appearing on the black-rectangular box.

"Hey are you okay?" Arthur asked.

[ I am fine host…buzz…..Hiss… ?????? System is currently damaged and will go in ….buzzz….hibernation mode. But before going into …hiss….hibernation, Host can ask for any two wishes….]

[ But the wish must abide by the laws of this....world's….buzzz…hisss….laws…]

Arthur was quite shocked; this is not how it was supposed to go.

The scene in front of him was unreal and annoying too. It was like an ice-cream was presented before a kid but the kid wasn't allowed to eat it.

But he wasn't even given time to think as system voiced again,

[ Please choose quickly, Host! ]

Sensing that he might not get this chance again, he quickly pondered and in few minutes replied,

"I chose…"Arthur said.
