Saint Tower

Saint Remains Domain - Saint Tower Light Platform

Under the countless watching eyes of the Geniuses who were not talented enough to make it onto the tower, 38 streaks of light came to a stop atop the platform of light at the bottom of the Saint Tower.

As Julong took his first steps onto the platform, it was easy to see just how guarded and on edge, everyone was toward one another. It was like there was a murderer among them, and they did not want to be the next one to fall victim. Their eyes were casting such discerning gazes at one another it was unlikely anyone trusted each other if they were not friends before arriving in the Domain originally.

As his gaze drifted through the amassing crowd, he quickly spotted the only one who had ever taken his breath away. He quickly made his way toward her, followed by the other 3 who had arrived with him.

"Big sis Yao Yao, we're here! But I'm surprised to see you've resumed your real identity."

"Good job for making it up here, all of you."

She wore a barely noticeable grin, which widened a little when her gaze came across Julong.

Such a grin made most of the people in the general vicinity look at her in awe of her natural beauty, even Ye Ming. In fact, it only served to make Julong want to kill him even more.

"How are you doing? I saw that you had been attacked."

Yao Yao only lightly shook her head at the question from Zhou Yuan.

"It was my fault for not being cautious enough. I was just lucky that Julong appeared when he did."

"Speaking of, how have your injuries come along?"

"They are completely healed now. It turns out Qinyu is quite reliable when it comes to such things."

Julong smiled fondly at the news. He was glad she was alright.

"I'll be giving her my thanks then."

"No need for that."

Zouqiu Quniyu's small figure suddenly appeared beside him, leaving her now dead conversation with Lu Luo.

"Just helping you indirectly is enough for me. Though I will say, I'm a little disappointed that you only made it to the Quasi-Alpha-Origin Realm. I really thought you would get to the Alpha-Origin Realm after seeing your determination before."

"Think what you will, there is a limit to how much one can Cultivate. The progress I made is still rather large as it is."

"I suppose you're right."

It was then that Yao Yao cut in, not wanting Quinyu getting anymore buddy-buddy with Julong. It served to earn a small grunt of dissatisfaction from Quniyu herself.

"Speaking of, you weren't hurt by any of the Genesis Beasts were you?"

Julong couldn't help but grin mockingly at the actions taken by Yao Yao. It was adorable in his eyes, especially since it seemed so out of character for her.

"No, Tuntun was there, and as soon as he saw me, made sure nothing happened. He's quite a little rascal though, isn't he?"

"Yes, he does have quite the boisterous personality."

The light on the Saint Tower suddenly grew brighter, signalling it would officially open soon, meaning the rivalries that had been tormenting people for so long were about to be ended in a violent fashion.

"Ye Ming, if we meet in the Saint Tower, your opponent will be me."

The comment was made by a person who wore a blindfold and wielded a sword. Such talent as to be able to fight in the Saint Tower without being able to see was very impressive. But what he had said was not going to work. Julong was going to be the one to kill Ye Ming.

"Sorry, but that is not going to work for me."

Julong had taken a few steps forward, purposefully standing in front of Yao Yao, as if to suggest his grudge had formulated thanks to something with a connection to her.

"You are... Wan Julong? Should you not be fighting Wu Huang, as the two most powerful in the Domain?"

"I have no intention on taking the Greatest Blessing, nor do I intend on proving myself against Wu Huang. The slight sense of dread that flickers in his eyes whenever he looks toward me should tell you why. I am however set on delivering Ye Ming to his death bed. He has done something unforgivable."

The blindfolded swordsman nodded.

"I have no intention of getting on your bad side if even Wu Huang dreads you. Feel free to do whatever you want with Ye Ming. However, if your loss ensues, I will be the one to take your place."

"I have no problem with that. But, believe me, the only person who will need replacing will be none other than Ye Ming himself."

He only nodded at his words, as Ye Ming looked at Julong, a small tremble in his wake. It was needless to say that he was terrified of Julong after what he had done in the forest. Not to mention, he was now out for blood, by any means, even if it meant missing the Greatest Blessing.

Sharing a glance with the somewhat terrified Ye Ming, he looked back over to Zhou Yuan who was having rather heated words with Wu Huang. His attention was then changed once more, directed toward Yao Yao.

"Good luck Yao Yao."

She gave him a small smile, moving for his hand with soft and elegant movements. He allowed her to grasp it, putting his own hand out to meet hers.

It was only a small sign of lingering affection, but it was incredibly sweet, especially for those who knew what she was like.

"Before we go, I want to tell you that there is something watching us, and specifically us. I can't tell what it is, but surely you have also noticed it?"

What she was saying was correct, ever since he had arrived he had felt something keeping an eye on him. It was powerful, more powerful than a Law Domain that was for sure, but it lacked the piercing and unrivaled might of a Saint.

"Yes, I have felt it. There is not much we can do though."

She nodded.

"Good luck to you too. Stay safe, Great Dragon."

He snickers at her words.

"I should be saying that to you after what happened in the forest."

Grunting, she gently removed her hand from his, making his snicker even more ferocious.

Suddenly the gold light from the tower became even stronger as a tear in the side slowly opened, revealing a portal like space. It was finally time.

Time to end Ye Ming's miserable existence.
