The Gorilla's name was Mister Immortal. He was named this by the kind caretaker at the Zoo. But then she died and he ran away from there. When he was hungry and scared in the stormy night, lightning from the sky struck him and he became this smart. After that, he acted like he was a man who just had overgrown hair on his body.
That was how his small story started.
*BOOM*
Immortal was blinded by too much light as he felt the ground under his feet. It took him a few seconds to get used to the light as he was indoors when he was transported and here he was out in the sunlight.
Soon, he looked around in confusion. There was a city in ruins. Most likely some buildings fell due to some destructive event.
~Why am I even here?~
*Beep Beep*
A text message tone sounded. He took out a phone from his pocket that looked like an old Nokia Model.
~This is not my phone.~ He thought and read the message.
"There is a big gorilla near you. His life is in danger. Save him and take him with you. For this task, you get 1 per cent of the powers my son, Alexander has." the message read.
Immortal looked at his hairy hands, "I have magical powers now?"
He tried to jump in order to fly. Just one push and he was already higher than the tallest remaining buildings around there.
"WOOHOO..." he joyfully screamed. This was for the first time in months that Immortal was having to have so much fun.
Then he decided to check other abilities. "Hmm, let's materialize some bananas."
He just had to will and soon a banana appeared in his hands. He honestly felt that this was the tastiest banana he had eaten in a long time. So, he couldn't stop and eat one more.
"Just one more." He said after eating 68 bananas.
Finally, when he ate the last one, he felt full and burped. "Okay, now that my stomach is not empty, let's see what I'm supposed to do here."
While in the sky, he noticed a cloud of dust a distance away. From the rubble came out a giant-sized albino gorilla.
"Ah, I think I'm supposed to save him." Immortal thought and flew towards that direction. He was surprised by the fact that even 1 per cent of Alexander's powers made him so much stronger.
While he was on his way, he saw that the gorilla was also fighting some other giant beasts.
"Ah, the poor guy is injured. I must help him." He flew faster.
Once over the head of a Wolf Monster, he punched straight down on it.
"GORI SMASHHHH."
Immortal didn't know how strong his power was so when he fell, he ended up not only smashing the head of the Wolf monster but also dented the ground and made a small crater.
But he was unharmed and came out of the rubble. There, the gooey substance of the remains of the Wolf was. A few people that were around that place stopped moving and looked at him.
Immortal turned towards the Albino giant Gorilla and talked in gorilla tongue, "Hello there, my friend. I am Immortal, I came here to help you and take you home with me. You can not live here with that size, people will never leave you alone."
"How did you kill that thing? Oh, I am George by the way." George replied nicely. It seemed that only his size was bigger, inside, he was a good gorilla.
"Haha... I am very strong, George. God gave me his blessings." Immortal told him.
But, while Immortal was talking to George, a tall bald man came forward. He caught Immortal's attention.
"Hey, buddy. Who are you? How did you do that?" The man asked while also using his hands to use sign language.
Immortal understood what was happening. The man had mistaken him for a normal gorilla.
"You can talk to me in English, Dwane Johnson," Immortal replied. He knew he was in the movie called Rampage right now. The Albino Gorilla in front of him was rescued by a man from poachers who killed his mom.
Immortal remembered his own life and what happened to his family when he imagined what happened to George's mother. His resolve to help George increased after that.
The man was shocked that the gorilla could speak. "Woah, this is unbelievable. I'm Davis, not Dwane."
"I'm Immortal. Ah, what's that?" Immortal pointed towards a lizard-like monster coming towards them.
Davis didn't know yet that Immortal was so strong, so his jaw dropped when he saw him flying to the lizard monster and punching it in the face, turning it into meat paste.
Immortal returned to the previous conversation. "Yes, I came here to take George with me so that he can live with me. You humans can't keep him safe. Also, your definition of safety is the same as locking us in small rooms in your zoos so you humans can make money. Last I knew, that was called slavery because we clearly don't get paid yet we are forced to be here so you can make money."
Davis was left speechless, but he also agreed to all that. This was the first time he was hearing the inner thoughts of a gorilla and it made sense.
"Where will you take him and what are you?" He asked.
"I am a Gorilla blessed by gods and I'll take him to my home which I don't tell strangers where it is. But, you can rest assured, that he will stay there like my family. I will also teach him human speech." Immortal replied.
Davis started using sign language with George to ask him himself.
"Do you want to go with him?" Davis asked.
George took a moment to reply. He looked around at the people staring at him. "I will go. Can't live here now. People hate me."
"People are stupid. Some of them even hate themselves." Immortal added and flew to George's injuries to heal them.
"Immortal is right. Humans are stupid. They will hate you just because you were here." Davis agreed as he had seen this first hand. When he tried to save George from poachers, he was also shot at by them.
George made fun, "Haha, then Davis stupid too."
"Yeah, I guess I am, why else would I be your friend? Go now, go with him." Davis said.
Immortal was soon done healing him. "Well, let's go."
After an emotional goodbye, again, a golden light fell from the sky and took him and George away with him.
When Immortal opened his eyes he found himself not in his apartment. He was somewhere in the compound of a giant mansion with a big garden.
"What is this place?" He asked himself.
*Beep Beep*
He took out the same phone and read. "Good job, kid, you can't keep your power except the invisibility and flying, so, here is a small gift. This whole Mansion and the 200 acres of land is yours. Now, go and start writing again.
This phone will self-destruct in 5 seconds."
"5"
"4"
Immortal quickly threw away the phone. Then, it really exploded.
With a tired sigh, he looked at his new home and felt a headache. "How will I pay the property tax?"
