270. A Little Cook

In comparison, Foolshout Island although had everything needed to survive nicely, there was still a lack of jobs.

Then Alexander went to Koala, "Koala-chan, would you like to come to my island and live there? Your mother can also come."

Koala was excited with this prospect, "Really?"

Then she looked at her mother cutely, "Mama, let's go. Grandpa said he has a talking cat and a bird. It will be so fun."

Alexander sent a small compulsion to the mother so she would make up her mind. He wanted her to think for Koala right now and less for herself. Koala needed her lost childhood back.

"Haha, pack your bags then. I will be waiting on my ship." He said and walked back to the ship with Koala.

Just as he was walking back, he saw Fisher Tiger being surrounded by Marines with guns pointed at him.

"Fishman, you've got nowhere to run. The village you went to earlier snitched on you." The rear admiral revealed.

Koala held on to him tightly in fear as he walked up to them, "Since when did the Marines become brave enough to enter my territory?"

His entrance had all of them on edge, The real admiral looked at him and refuted his claim, "T-This is not your territory"

"It is, I just declared it. Now I want you to go back the way you came. Or else, you know the consequences." He cracked his knuckles.

Rear Admiral Strawberry stepped back a little, "W-we didn't know this was your territory. We will go back now."

Alexander nodded, "Yes, you all may. Except you, Rear Admiral Strawberry. I've heard some very bad reports about you. That you are openly hunting for all the runaway slaves from Mary Geoise to return them back. I thought I made it clear that anyone dabbling in the Slave trade will be killed with no mercy."

All the Marines ran away leaving their rear admiral behind the moment they heard slave trading. Everyone knew that people involved in this business were getting killed every day like flies. The presence of the Golden Justice Army was all around the East Blue, South Blue, and Paradise. Alexander dominated the first half of the planet in terms of naval strength.

He didn't want to make it too gory so he simply caught Rear Admiral Strawberry and threw him at the direction of Marineford, which was a few hundred Kilometres away. The guy would die when he falls there.

He then walked to Fisher Tiger, "Forgive them, it will take some time for them to change but don't worry. I will absolutely erase all kinds of racism."

*Sigh*

"I do believe in your words, old man. I remember Queen Otohime's words too." He reminisced.

"Grandpa, can people fly?" Koala suddenly asked.

"Ah, no dear. Not in normal circumstances. Why do you ask?" Alexander inquired.

"That man flew in the sky. I also want to fly." She longingly said.

Alexander instantly flew in the air with her in his arms. She was really enjoying it. "Yayyyy...hahaha... this is so fun."

Alexander thought about giving the gravity-gravity fruit to her later. That fruit only lets you control the gravity of your body. It was a very deadly ability if used correctly. For example, you could increase the gravity of your fist just before it is struck to have a bigger effect.

Somewhere in the East Blue, a small 10-year old kid who ran away from his cruel father with the help of his sister snuck up on a pirate ship called Orbit and worked as a cook. That was until another pirate "Red Leg" Zeff attacked their ship. However, both ships were caught in a sudden storm and sank. Zeff managed to save the young cook from drowning.

Before the storm tore the boats apart, the little cook had cried out his dream to find the All Blue, which was why he was saved by Zeff afterward. After the storm, the two were washed onto a rock outcropping, high above the sea.

Despite their good fortune, there was little food for them, a few rations had washed onto the rock with them, but there was no vegetation, no animals, and no way to reach the water to fish.

Splitting up what little rations remained, Zeff ordered the little cook to sit at the other end of the island to look for a ship. But the boy protested that Zeff was keeping a large sack for himself, but Zeff brushed him off, saying that as an adult, his stomach was bigger.

Days passed, the little cook's food rations got depleted, but there was still no sign of a ship. 12 weeks later, he decided to take a chance to kill Zeff for his food. He did not kill the old man, but when he slashed open the old man's sack in a fit of rage, he discovered that there was no food inside, only treasure. To his horror, he then realized that Zeff had eaten his own leg to save him.

Tears fell down his eyes for the old man who had shown him more kindness than his father ever did.

Zeff was in a very weak state, he lightly spoke, "Kid, In all my journey through the seas, I lacked food many times. If I survive this, I would like to open a restaurant on the seas."

The kid strongly nodded, "I will help you run it, Old man. We will find All blue together."

Zeff didn't have more energy to speak. He kept on looking at the sea and soon something shined. He thought he was hallucinating.

"Kid, is that a ship?" He asked.

The little cook got up and looked at the distance. He started jumping and shouting excitedly, "Yes yes, we are finally saved."

"They can't hear you, fool. Use a reflective gem from that bag and try to reflect sunlight towards the ship." He instructed him.

Robin was lazily looking at the sea with Koala.

"Big sis, Robin. What is that?" Koala asked.

Robin interestingly looked at the direction. Soon she got alerted, "Someone must be stuck there. GRANDPA!"

She informed Alexander and the ship changed the direction.

"YES THEY SAW US!" the little cook shouted with tears of joy.

Zeef smiled and finally fell unconscious.
