We went down, and I went straight to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast.

"Hey what do you want to eat?"

Cassy went straight to the living room.

"Anything!" She shouted.

"Okay!" I shouted back

"Oh, I changed my mind! I just want some cereals!"

"Cassy get over here. Stop shouting your answers!"

"You started it!"

Aaahh this kid. I smiled.

I turned on the coffee maker. I don't want to eat anything. I'll just have some coffee.

Charlotte doesn't like coffee. I love it. And sometimes she doesn't want me to drink too much, especially like now that my stomach is empty. Sorry, Char.

I heard some voices talking on TV. I looked at Cassy from the kitchen and she did turn it on

"Hey, No TV! Eat first!"

She acted like she didn't hear me.

"Why do you always just listen to Charlotte?"

I said to myself. I walked to the living room and sat beside Cassy.

"Hey. Didn't you hear me? What are you watching?"

"News," Cassy answered without removing her eyes on the TV screen

"News?"

She didn't answer.

"Since when?"

Cassy looked at me like I asked a stupid question.

"Since when, what?"

"Since when did you become interested in the news?"

She looked back on the TV

"Yesterday." She shrugged.

"Well. Fine. Come on let's eat."

We ate our breakfast and I asked Cassy to clean her room. I was watering the plants when I heard my phone ringing.

I went to the living room to check who's calling me,

It's Matthew.

I answered it.

I didn't say anything. I just waited for him to talk first.

I could hear him breathing on the phone.

"Hey, babe." He stopped for two seconds, "I'm sorry."

I didn't say anything. And I don't want to cry.

"Babe, I didn't mean to say that. You know me, right?"

I know. And you are always doing this to me. But I love you, anyway.

"It's okay," I told him as I held back my tears.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow. Dinner? And the movie?"

He knew that I cannot stay mad at him for long.

"Okay, Matt."

"I love you, Gee." He gave me that nickname. He is the only one who calls me that.

I hung up the phone.

-----

It was 9 PM when we heard a knock on our door. I opened it and it was Charlotte. She kissed me on my cheeks and hugged me.

"How was your day? You and Cassy?"

I took the paper bags Charlotte was holding.

"Us? We should ask you that."

I smiled at her. And she smiled back.

"So...?" I waited for her to answer.

Charlotte was grinning so wide his mouth can explode. He held out her left hand to me and oh. AN ENGAGEMENT RING!

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

We screamed, we squealed, we jumped, and she hugged me so tight.

"I'm so happy Chloe. He is so perfect."

"I know. John is a really great guy. And you've been together for like what? 6 years? He is pretty consistent with everything. I am soooo happy for you Char. You deserve him, he deserves you."

She's full of happiness. I could see it in her eyes. She's so full of positive aura. I miss looking at the mirror and looking like that. I miss the old me. I miss the old Matt.

We heard some loud footsteps from the stairs.

"Hey, you two. Stop being so cheesy. Especially when I'm not with you."

Charlotte and I laughed.

"Come here, munchkin."

Charlotte called her.

"They are getting married!!!!" I squealed and pulled and held out Charlotte's hand.

"So John asked you on a date at 5:30am just to propose to you?"

"Well... yeah." Charlotte is smiling again.

"Details!!!" I giggled again.

"He told me that when I get there, I should go on the Fourth level of the field's bleacher. When I get there, I saw the sunflowers. A LOT OF SUNFLOWERS. The sunflowers were arranged with 'CHARLOTTE, WILL YOU BE MY WIFE?'"

Wow. That was like a fairytale.

"Wow, Char. Didn't know that John was pretty good at surprises."

Cassy was still pouting. I nudged her.

"Hey munchkin." Charlotte held her hand.

"You okay?"

"Yeah... I just can't believe that you are getting married. But I am really really happy for you."

She smiled and hugged Charlotte.

"Group hug!" Charlotte pulled me.

We all laughed.
