145. Resistance
Alex just let them go because he had his surveillance on them at all times.
If they did anything then Alex will he able to intercept them easily without missing a beat.
So he didn't care and turned to look at the Female Doctor Fate of this universe.
"Yo". He greeted her and looked at her for a reply.
Doctor Fate looked at him for a while and spoke softly. "Thank you for your help". She bowed her head a little in gratitude.
"No need to sweat it. We are just doing our job". Alex waved his hand and smiled at her.
"Let me introduce you to everyone.
This is My Girlfriend Boa Hancock. This my also my Girlfriend Mera, the princess of Xebel. This here is also my girlfriend, Poison Ivy. This one is my girlfriend too, Catwoman.
The last tag along is Harley Quinn". Alex introduced the four with a wide smile and gave a little intro for Harley.
"Hey, introduce me properly too". She protested as soon as she heard Alex's words and pouted at him.
'This girl is like a kid'. Alex thought in his mind and turned to look at Doctor Fate.
The poor girl was standing there completely dumbfounded by the introduction.
"T—They are all your girlfriends?" Her voice couldn't help increase a little when she heard his words.
"Not all of them. That happy bag of pudding for brains is not my girlfriend". Alex pointed at Harley and said.
"Hey, who is pudding for brains. But it might taste nice?" Harley protested again and then muttered to herself.
Alex heard it clearly along with everyone and just shook their heads.
"Anyway, I am not pudding for brains". She crossed her arms below her boobs and harrumphed.
"See". Alex pointed it out again for Doctor Fate.
Her lips twitched from this exchange and she didn't know what to say for a moment.
"I've never seen you guys before. Where are you from?" Doctor Fate asked a bit expectantly after putting the matter aside.
"We are from a different universe or reality you can say. All the villains are actually heroes in our universe". Alex said and introduced their origins.
"I see, that must be a wonderful world". Doctor Fate sighed to herself and lamented their fate.
Stopping these villains has been the goal of her and her partners' for all this while but they haven't had much success.
"As you can see. Every time we lay down a trap or barely try to win. They run away and try to pick us off individually.
We don't have much manpower left on us now. We are literally running short on people to protect and stop these villains.
A lot of the heroes from Resistance have been killed by these abominable things". Doctor Fate clenched her fists in hatred and spoke in a sad but angry voice.
"We have tried everything we can to stop them but we can only be counted as some annoying nuisances to them now because they have grown too big and recruited a lot of members". She continued after a sigh and letting go of her fists.
"Don't worry, we will put an end to their reign". Alex patted her shoulder and reassured her. He could see the pain hidden within her eyes.
"Mhmm". She nodded her head a bit and looked at Alex and the others one by one.
"Please follow me". She said and flew off towards a different direction.
Alex waved his hand and all of them flew together with him. They were slowly following Doctor Fate.
Alex made sure that no one was following them when he followed after her.
They soon reached a very dilapidated part of the city that looked totally barren.
There was nothing around except Debris and broken buildings.
"Just here". Fate stopped and her eyes glowed before all them were teleported again.
"This is our safe house in the area. Sorry but I cannot tell you the exact location". Fate turned around and introduced before apologising softly.
"It's alright, I don't even need you to lead me to the area to know everything about your safe house". Alex waved his hand carelessly without minding it and the girls quickly started to survey the whole base curiously.
"Do you have Sweets?" Harley didn't care about the safe house at all. All she cared about was tasting the sweets in this reality.
"Haha, yes, please follow me". Fate laughed wryly and led Harley away from the place to get her some sweets.
'She's not all that bad. She has a strange charm'. Alex thought to himself and looked at the cheerful back leaving with Fate.
'Snap out of it mate. You don't stick it in Crazy'. Alex quickly shook his head to dispel the thoughts growing in his mind.
Then he started walking around the base to look at the things inside.
'Hmm, the base is basic but it also makes it easier to defend and more difficult to find because they can't really hack into anything'. Alex nodded his head when he saw this layout.
Then he perceived where everyone was and started walking towards there.
*knock*
Alex knocked on the door and got in after getting permission.
'Now that I think about it. This is the first time that I have in a door properly after getting Requiem huh'. Alex was kinda puzzled by this phenomenon himself.
'Guess too much freedom can also make you forget your manners'. He shook his head and looked at the people inside the room.
"Yo bitches". Alex greeted everyone and sat down on a seat around the conference table.
"These are the guests that came from another reality. They have already had conflicts with the Crime Syndicate of America.
I invited them here to help us deal with those vermin of society". Fate spoke first introduced them briefly and then her face flashed with anger and disgust when she mentioned The Crime Syndicate.
"Don't worry, I will smash them for you". Harley smashed her bat on the table with a bang when she said this.
Everyone turned to look at her and she just gave an excited laugh in reply.
