37 Poisonous Field I

Because she had already paid for her stay in the inn, she didn't use the front door to go out but the window.

The people chasing after didn't come out till she was out of the sight of the south gate's Imperial Guards. The guards on the Imperial Capital's gates were known for being very picky. They didn't liked trouble sullying their eyes so if they acted before them, the guards will surely jump at them.

Her beige robe waved with the light breeze. It was refreshing and the moonlight was so beautiful that she forgot for an instant that she was being chased as she freely walked in the road.

She was greatly enjoying her unplanned night walk, however…

Hidden weapons were thrown at her and her wondrous time came to an end.

She jumped forward as she turned around.
