36 Mind Reading

"Little Yi… uuh- doesn't know… wooh-."

"…"

The little child cried and she let him cry. Besides her not being the type of comforting people, she wanted him to fall asleep and he did.

'Sorry child, I don't plan on keeping you,' she though as she extended her hand. She put it on his little head and her dark eyes stilled as if they were focused seeing something.

Because his memories got fresh as she had just asked him his father whereabouts, she used mind reading instead of soul search. That a child's mind was usually weaker also played a role in she using mind reading; after all, there are some children that are born with powerful souls which could lead in exerting more effort.

The images she was seeing of the place were vivid. They had fallen from the sky into a forest and then, hid in a cave.

'Yo, little kid, you have a top model as a father…' Her dark eyes glittered stars. She appreciated the beauty on men; though she thought most men were utter trash because their stupidity and shamelessness when courting women and it was more so in this archaic and barbaric land.

'Tsk, stop feasting with your eyes… Huh, he made the best to keep a good outward look but before sending the kid away, his handsome face looked ashen…' she retrieved her hand and recalled the images, looking for something that could give away the father's child whereabouts.

'Ah! That is…!' she widened her eyes, 'That was blue grass… haa- who in its right mind and in that condition hides next to such enticing mystic beast food?!

'Anyway, that's what gave out which forest he is at.' She got up and put on the bamboo hat and veil.

She picked up the little kid and saw his swollen eyes, 'I can only hope that your father is still alive…'
