Ashen Beauty I

The poisonous mist had to get back into the poisoned man before he swallows the antidote to be completely cleared. Hence, she will need to speak and aid him.

"Whatever…" She opened the lid of the transparent jade bottle and took one of the pills.

She threw it at her mouth and swallowed it. She closed the lid and put back the bottle into her necklace.

A couple of minutes passed and she entered the greyish mist.

Inside the poisonous field, there was nothing, the trees and greenery had vanished, leaving only black and lifeless dust rise as she walked by.

She bent down and after blowing away some black dust, she saw how the soil and rocks were drying black.

"….. So, are my clothes at risk?" she wondered. The robes she had on weren't the best but were still made of fine materials.

She straightened her back and inspected them, "Better to be quick," she said when she saw light grey spots on some parts of the beige fabric.

Her dark eyes wandered all around as she hurried, looking for the cave. She didn't use her soul strength to look for it as she might need every ounce and maybe more of it to aid the poisoned man.

Soon she came to be before a cave.

The cave had small cracks and gave off an eerie feeling, making it look different from the one of the child's memories. However, the shape was the same, so without a doubt, it was the cave she was looking for.

She didn't have to walk deep inside it to come across someone. After only one minute of her rush, she spotted a person sitting cross-legged within the darkness of the cave.
