43 Ashen Beauty II

"He really is a beauty… an ashen beauty now, I must add," she said when she was able to discern the facial features of the young man. A perfectly carved straight nose, long eyelashes, thin lips with a beauty mole below its left side; however, its skin was rough and dyed in shades of grey, nothing like the slightly tanned and healthy colour she had seen before.

"Umh?" She raised an eyebrow as she looked at him from her higher point of view.

His long eyelashes trembled and his eyes began to open slowly.

'If it weren't for the dark colour where it's supposed to be white, they would be charmingly… cold? He looked the serious type or was just because of the situation he was at?' she shook her head, 'Don't get distracted.'

"Ahh…" She didn't know how to start.

"…" The ashen beauty frowned at the sudden appearance of a strange female but didn't move; he didn't have that luxury.

'Let's just get straight to the point…' she tilted a bit her head as she stretched her left hand out, "This is the antidote against the Abyss Soul Eating Poison…"

"…" He frowned more as he saw two rolling cherry-sized white pills that sparkled gold glitter inside a transparent jade bottle.

"You might know what will happen if you die so I'm not tricking you but…" she squatted down before him to be at his eye level, "before I give it to you, you have to retrieve the poisonous mist with your fragmented soul or else… it will be really troublesome… got it?" she smiled wide below her veil as she took away the transparent jade bottle.

"…" He stared at the strange female's dark eyes, surveying her intentions in deep silence.

'Eh?' She tilted her head completely to a side with wide opened eyes of wonder.

He had closed his eyes without giving her a response.
