Meeting Yasaka

The ritual went well, and it allowed me to solidify my ritual room. And from the feedback I got, it seemed there was only the marriage contract linked to me. So at least, I was good regarding potentially dangerous bindings.

The night went well, and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. I'll need to enchant it to make it better though. I did not bother learning runes to not exploit them even for the most trivial things.

But there was no urgency. For now I had two priorities :

1) Improve my safety

2) Improve my maid

For the first point, I could weirdly not do so much. I was seriously limited by materials. My first thought was improving my body.

And I realized that improving my own body would be VERY hard and dangerous once I concentrated on the issue. And since I do not have the protagonist aura that makes you succeed despite incredibly small odds each fucking times, I was not fond of doing that.

So I went for trinkets and armours. I was not found of killing, so I first created a targeted magical taser inside a ring. The, I created an area of effect taser inside another ring. That was it for the offensive. Not much ? I know, but I did not really had common enemies. Frankly, aside from Loki and Hades, there shouldn't be anyone wanting to bother me. So the taser was more for an everyday common occurrence kind of thing.

The armour was better though. An extremely resistant enchanted suit that would trigger without my need in case of danger. Force field, Illusionary body double, mental jamming, noise canceller and so many others. I simply put every contingent plans I could think of, and added a small piece of enchantment to change the visual of it. The very numerous glowing Norse runes would NOT do for small talks with normal humans after all.

And finally ? An earring of super duper ultimate teleportation. On a single though, or if for whatever reason I was unconscious, it'd be instant rollback in a safe room in my crazily warded mansion. They would be able to trace me, but I wouldn't care.

For the second point, once the week was done it would be time to edit Celina. I couldn't wait to start. But learning the rules of my new residence was a necessity... What a drag.

The week went by pretty quickly. Having a guide who lived in Kyoto for the last 250 year make for some funny stories. Megumi was surprisingly nice with us after she realized I was pretty chill, and Celina was... OK, she didn't like her much. But Celina could REALLY be a pain in the ass with all the blunders she could do in a single hour. But at least she did not attack her, so it was a win in my book.

I also realized that Yasaka mustn't have asked for many peoples opinion when she gave me the property. I was NOT welcome in the youkai areas. The only reason I was not attacked was because Megumi was apparently a strong deterrent, and words went by that I was personally invited by Yasaka.

All that being said, I decided that in the future I would stay away from them. And since during that time I finished making a proper teleportation array, I could do my groceries in Paris, no biggies.

I just love teleportation. When you have a big enough magic reserve, it's the best.

My week ended with my scheduled meeting with Yasaka.

Nothing big really. Aside from her two massive boo... Well, you get it. She really was sexy, completely deserving the nine tails fox reputation.

We did some small talks and I could clearly see she was happy for what I did for Frigga.

Apparently it was extremely hard to make true friends when you were in a position of power. And loosing such a long time friend like Frigga really saddened her. So being able to chat with her on a daily basis improved her mood a lot.

Good for her and Frigga I guess. She was present during the meeting by the way, and was happy to hear from me since I hadn't talked to her since my departure in the underworld. I took the opportunity to tell her I finished furnishing the room to put 'THAT' painting, and would soon cancel the stasis charm I casted on it so I could store it in my hammerspace.

I also used the opportunity to cockblock the hero faction a bit. I remember that at some point they would try to capture Yasaka by using her daughter, the cute Kunou-chan as an hostage, and it would cause some property damage in Kyoto. And since I live here now, I wanted none of that.

So I gifted a teleportation item similar to mine, but in the form of a footband. To define the apparition point she would just need to crush the attached bead on the location spot, and it was good to go.

Once again I was thanked repeatedly by Yasaka and Frigga seemed proud of me.

It ended up being a good meeting. Got thanked, got praised, and got some goodwill. It's important to gather goodwill after all. You never know when you'll need some.

Before I could take my leave though, she invited me so she could introduce Kunou-chan to me. She must have wanted her to know who gifted her the potentially life saving artefact. So we set a date for the following month.

And now that my schedule was totally free, it was time to resume project 'make Celina the best maid ever'.

It took me a full week of intense trial and error, but I finally had the basis of what I would work with, and it would be glorious !
