But fate had a wild twist in store for Sebastian. Thanks to a trinket bequeathed by his dead father, the pyromancer gets sent back to the past, landing right in the middle of another shot at payback. There is only a tiny insignificant problem plaguing the man. Madness followed him, pushing him to take completely avoidable risks. It took little for Sebastian to complete his project. Now, the ballista had been mounted on the chariot.

Sebastian also made a small mod that allowed him to store the bolts close to him. Of course, he needed to retrieve them after having used them.

All of that was relatively simple. While Sebastian wasn't a carpenter and didn't have that much knowledge about construction, having spent years within Somnium and having learned the basics for survival, tying the ballista to the chariot wasn't hard.

Besides, all of that was nothing he couldn't find out how to make. Of course, for the ballistas, it had been different because he had the schematics, and while not fully understanding what Miles did, he simply had to follow the instructions.

Still, everything he had done up until now was just the most basic step of this process. Two would be the toughest and longest of all the preparations.
