21 What happens in the virtual world

"System, can you show me what is happening in the virtual world?"

After having sent the new demigods into the trial virtual world, Long He wanted to know how things were going on.

Ding.

[Affirmative, host. You can watch your demigods as they undergo their test.]

"What are waiting for then? Show me!" he said impatiently, and at the same time, he was excited.

[Acknowledged.]

Immediately, and after closing his eyes, Long He was transferred to his virtual world. Every demigod was alone, so he had to see everyone in particular.

Long He cast a simple spell, which enabled him to become invisible to both eyes and godly senses. However, if a god had a powerful godly sense, then they could see through this trick.

The demigod Long He first saw was strangely the first man of Aquahelios, Imrahil! The father of the Fire race has wandered through the land, trying to find his opponents.

After a day of search, Imrahil had killed 10 low level beasts, but hadn't found any powerful ones. As the night fell, Imrahil collected some branches and lit a fire.

The reflection of the flames blazed in his eyes. 'I hope Athalia is okay,' he thought. As he was immersed in his deep thought, a disaster was coming in his direction.

One after the other, beasts started to march towards the fire, which plainly indicated to them that someone was near. Their instincts told them that they should definitely try the flesh of this being.

Imrahil was unaware of all of this, he just kept himself in thinking. When the faces of the first beasts showed their faces, Imrahil cut the rope of his thoughts and bolted upwards. He gripped his axe, which was given to him earlier by Long He, and inspected the area.

He discovered that he was surrounded by all sorts of opponents. He held his axe high and shouted, "Hail god He!"

With this, he charged at the enemies with such ferocity that he almost killed all the present ones. However, they kept coming out of nowhere in non-stop. Soon, he was completely overwhelmed, and was ripped to pieces.

But this wasn't actual death, it was just a fake one. Imrahil opened his eyes and found out that he was still alive in the real world, the exact opposite of what their god has said.

He heard Long He's voice in his head saying, "Never, ever attract the enemy to you. Make your actions more calmer and less attractive, or else, you will die."

Imrahil's eyes blazed with enlightenment. He worshiped Long he and patiently waited for the others to come out.

Long He shifted to another person, the princess of the Domain of Waterleche, Ellis. She was doing a great job, killing every beast that she saw or interrupted her path.

Unfortunately for her, she didn't know that an opponent was tracking her from behind. An 8 feet tall heavily armored knight approached on her.

When the knight was only a few feets behind her, she spotted him. Without giving her any time to react, or wake up from the shock, the knight raised his metallic mace and stuck it in her chest.

Just like Imarahil, Ellis woke up in the real world. She also got the advice of Long He, about always scanning her surroundings for any danger.

...

After checking up on all of his demigods, Long He couldn't stand the excitement anymore. He thought for a long time and said, "System, make another virtual world."

Ding.

[Affirmative, host.]

[Virtual World - Level 1 purchase is in progress.] Quicker than before, the system finished creating the world.

Ding.

[Virtual World - Level 1 successfully purchased.

System tip: The system can provide the host with designs for the virtual world, with the difficulty varying. Does the host wish to do that, or stick with doing his own world?]

Long He was surprised to hear this from the system. Of course he was going to buy a design! If he made it himself, it would be too easy for him. However, if he had a certain world with a certain difficulty, then it would be perfect for his training.

"Buy a fire and water world, with a high difficulty," Long He said excitingly.

Ding.

[Fire and Water virtual design purchased. The system is currently applying it to the blank virtual world.]

Soon, Long He was inside the newly created virtual world, where many ferocious opponents would await him

The world was actually similar to his, like every water and fire planet. When he first opened his eyes, Long He landed  in the land of water.

Immediately, a blue scaled water snake appeared in front of him and attacked. However, Long He wasn't like his demigods. As soon as he entered, he took the Waterflame Sword out of its sheath and spread his godly sense.

The serpent didn't have much time before it was sliced into two pieces. Behind him, another serpent attacked, but it was also killed. Long He then discovered that the area he was in was full of water serpents, who were already feasting on him with their eyes.

Long He smiled evilly and said, "System, count the number of kills."

[Acknowledged.]

"Let's begin then!"

With the sword in one hand, and a blue flame ignited in the other, Long He marched towards the serpent hord with confident steps. He slashed at every one of them, ending their lives in moments.

However, they kept coming and coming, and each batch was becoming more harder to kill. After days of battling, the water serpents finally ceased to come, while corpses hovering everywhere.

Long He stopped for some time in order to catch his breath. For days, he had battled with the beasts in non-stop, not even having the time to rest.

After adjusting himself and taking a deep breath, he addressed the system, "System, what is the final record?"

Ding.

[Calculating.]

Ding.

[Number of dead water serpents: 1056

Difficulty level: hard.

Killed by the host over 13 days.]

Ding.

[Congratulations, host. You have learned the Waterswift ability. It is of 50 ranks, considered as a mid-tier ability. The host currently learned the first rank!]
