20 Trial

In the early morning, Long He sent a message to his demigods, ordering them to come to the Island Of Creation.

"Come here immediately, without any waste of time."

When he sent this message, he asked the system a few questions,"System, can you make a virtual world just like the one of Uion?"

Ding.

[Of course, host. However, it would require some points of faith to purchase the world.]

"How many?"

[20 points.]

"What about the soul power? Doesn't it require some?"

[No, soul power is not required from the host.]

"Purchase a virtual world from the shop then."

Ding.

[Virtual world - level 1 purchase is in progress.]

Waiting for the system to finish the download, Long He patiently cultivated the Bluefire technique, which he had reached the eleventh level in. Finally, the notification ring of the system resonated in his head.

Ding.

[Virtual world - level 1 has been successfully purchased.]

Long He opened his eyes, cutting his cultivation, and said, "Show me the world."

[The system requests that the host closes his eyes.]

He nodded and closed his eyes again. This time, he was no longer in his room, but in the newly blank and deserted world. The scene in front of him brought back past memories of him awakening on the deserted planet Aquahelios.

Ding.

[The virtual has to be designed by the host. Whether he wants to scan a place or create his own one, it is his decision.]

After thinking about it carefully, Long He said, "Scan the area of the Island Of Creation, and copy it here, but without the palace."

[As the host wishes.]

The system started scanning the Island's area, and with every moment of scanning, the virtual world was being drawn.

Two hours passed, and the system finally finished setting the world. Long He looked at it and willed for all sorts of beasts and monsters to fill the land. He also added soldiers and knights, with a variety of powers and certain difficulties.

Ding.

[Host, the demigods have all gathered outside your palace and are waiting for you.]

"This fast?" Long He was certainly astonished. Even though he had ordered them to come here quickly, he expected them to arrive at the end of the day.

[Yes host, and you'd better come before the two races engage in a fight.]

"Ugh.... These folk! Wake me up." Followed by his order, Long He woke up outside of his palace, facing a hord of angry demigods.

"God He favors us, the Fire race, and certainly not yours!" said a demigod.

"Nonsense," shouted another, "What makes you say that?"

"Our race was created before the Water race! It is all reasonable that our god favors us!"

Most of his fellow demigods grumbled in agreement. The one of the Water race wanted to say something, but was interrupted by a scowl from Long He.

"Enough!" he shouted. Immediately, the demigods stopped fighting and dropped to their knees, bowing.

"God He!" they all said in one voice, which created a small spatial rift, but it quickly close up.

They rose up after Long He nodded, however, the one of the Water race that was arguing earlier remained bowing. He then respectfully greeted his god again and said, "God, please bring justice! These scums from the Fire race claim that they are favored by you, while we are less favorable in your eyes!"

"I don't want to hear anything about this debate," Long He said firmly, "Let this point be clear to all of you, I don't favor any race in particular. If I hear that you are arguing about this ridiculous point again, then believe me, you don't want to taste the sharpness of my blade!"

The demigods trembled, not daring to object. The one who spoke out earlier nodded in fear then stood up, his face still facing the ground.

"I have summoned you here today for a test," said the god.

"A test?" said Imrahil, the first man of Aquahelios and of the Fire race.

"Yes. You will face a number of opponents in a virtual world that I created. Every demigod will be alone in this test.

"There will be no outer help, just relying on yourself and your powers. After 5 victories, the first level of a cultivation technique will be rewarded to you. Of course, the technique will be the most suitable to you, if you are from the Fire race, then it will be a fire cultivation technique.

"The same is for the Water race."

"What if someone dies in there? Will it be actual death or just a fake one?" asked the head of the Water demigods, Aster.

"When someone dies, the death is real. I am not going to revive the dead ones. All of this is related to your luck, power and patience. If you have good luck, then you will be able to survive. If not, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

"You must all consider luck as a powerful and mysterious being, who chooses the perfect ones to claim his trait. Perhaps he would choose you this time, and perhaps not."

He waited for some time for them to mentally prepare for a possible death. He then explained," The opponents are of different powers, and you will be randomly distributed, so maybe the most powerful one of you could die only after entering the world by a minute, while the weakest one can survive till the end.

"Always remember that you are the only ones who can get you out of the dangerous situation in there. Good luck!"

One after the other, the demigods closed their eyes. They disappeared from the actual world to the virtual one, where they will be tested by sever tests. They all hoped that they would come out alive, simply because they did not want to die yet.

But how could they know that Long He was just frightening them, and no one will actually die? They only prayed that their god would be merciful and take pity on them.

However, in the war, there will be no mercy and pity. There will only be endless death.
